Subway — Restaurant in Nottingham

Went in and saw the self check-out thought it was quite cool as a socially anxious woman but no. The screens were useless as you can’t create your own sub and are poorly to navigate. Upon ordering we waited, and waited, and waited… several other customers had now joined our waiting. After 15 minutes one of the employees had to ask me what cheese was wanted on one of the subs, thought it was quite weird as the screen was right next to him. Around 10 minutes later they then asked what salad I wanted on that sub after it had been left to go cold on the side…then the employee that asked me said “what vegetables do you want i’ve closed your order.” Rude and helpless is all I can say for this place. 35 minutes of waiting for two subs which normally takes under 10 minutes to make. The staff were also swearing behind the counter which shows a huge lack in professionalism. This is one of those new Subways where the owners seem to think that what the customer wants is a wall of screens to order from instead of a person. The wall hides the salad counter so you can’t ask the sandwich artist to add more salad or extra olives, etc. I don’t understand this - the point of Subway is that you can ask the sandwich artist to make your sub how you want it. By having screens the sandwich artists just become mindless drones. The screen didn’t work for me and the staff member had to take my order which seemed to annoy her. Terrible experience. You can't see the food anymore. There are screens covering the whole food area. I attempted to use one of the screens and got to the summary screen and boom the screen kicked me off. The whole experience took me twice as long as it would have done if I had spoke to the server as usual. I'm sorry but it's Subway not McDonalds, I don't need a screen to order my food.
