My partner and I went to Sovrano this afternoon. When we walked in, we were very pleasantly greeted by the servers, who gave us free reign on where we sat. The restaurant itself is very clean and very well decorated, background music was noticeable but not intrusive. I ordered a double patty burger with cheese and bacon, which was served in a sesame seed bun, lettuce, a slice of tomato and two slices of gherkin and a portion of French Fries.
My first impression of the dish was that the burger patties looked very greasy and I was expecting Chucky chips (although it wasnât specified what type of chips Iâd receive) but it wasnât disappointed by the chips, they were well cooked and tasted nice.
The burger on the other hand was another matter. You couldnât eat it with your hands because of how greasy it was, so I ended up using the knife and fork provided. The overall taste of the burger was OK but the texture was massively let down by how greasy it was. The bacon was however crispy and cooked to my definition of perfection. I was disappointed by the greasiness of the burger and left full (I donât like leaving food Iâve paid good money for) but rather disappointed by the quality of the burger.
My partner had a chicken pasta dish, which came with a small side salad, which not only looked good, but my partner really enjoyed it.
There is a decent amount to choose from on the menu, including a range of starters, pasta dishes, pizzaâs, burgers and more!!! So we will be back and I will definitely try another dish.
The service was great and the restaurant was well themed and very clean, the toilets were absolutely spotless.

Read moreI was unfortunately disappointed with the service, we ordered 2 pastaâs, garlic bread and chips. The chips and garlic bread came out quite fast then one pasta dish came out and 20-30 minutes had gone by with no sign of the other dish we waited but no one even bothered to say sorry the other pasta (which was the exact same dish) will take couple of minutes. Other tables who had just sat down (which the restaurant wasnât busy at all) were given their food and we were still waiting. When it eventually arrived they did apologise but the other pasta had gone cold so they literally microwaved my friendâs food. We did get ÂŁ4 taken off the bill which was something atleast but I was very disappointed and felt quite upset if they had just communicated when they had brought the food that it will take a while id have been more happier. Food was okay but cold due to waiting for the pasta. I used to work as a waitress the main meals should be put on the pass till all mains are ready or atleast say that itâs going to take a while. Really...
Read moreWe went in here on Tuesday hoping for a nice lunch. Unfortunately, the kitchen claimed to be completely unable to serve anything that my son (who has an egg allergy) could eat.
We understand and explained to the waiter that we understood that the kitchen handled eggs and that there was always a risk of cross-contamination. Our son's allergy is fortunately moderate enough that it is only triggered by eggs as an ingredient. But the kitchen said that absolutely nothing was egg free.
Having dined at a wide range of restaurants with my son, this seems unlikely to me: normally dried pasta is egg free, almost all bread is egg free, most sausages and bacon are egg free, chips are universally egg free, etc. So my assumption is that the kitchen would rather send a customer away hungry than to put any effort into checking ingredients for allergens, which...
