What kind of community park gives people parking tickets for being there less than 45 minutes when parking is free for 3 hours but we didn't know you needed to still display a parking ticket! We apologised, explaining this was our first time at the park and usually you would not need a ticket for free parking at parks and that due to the effects of Coronavirus we could not afford to pay the fine. Myself and my partner have been impacted financially and this was our first family outing since March! They then show absolutely no sympathy to our simple mistake despite pleading that we really can't afford the fine and insist that we have to pay it. Absolute disgrace, I am appalled at such lack of empathy and will certainly never be attending here again. Disgusting money grabbing behaviour during what is already a...
Read moreI've been strolling with my elderly father through the park regularly during lockdown. It's well kept and tidy but the best thing is the little cafe that's inside the museum. This man needs our custom to pay his overheads so if you're in the park please drop in and have a...
Read moreThe river is such in a bad state , filthy and filled with junk, despite numerous emails and visits to council, even offering to clean it myself! People dump all sorts in there, including the bread bags they fed the ducks with (wrongly since bread pollutes river, and hurt ducks digestive systems and health) . The maintenance guys are obsessed with trimming grass to an inch of its life rather than rewilding areas to help bees , and other species. I wish there was recycling bins and campaigns to keep area tidy. I chose to go through park for a bit of fresh air and nature since Nuneaton is so deprived of forests and I wish it was our pride and joy. Thank god they put flowers to look good in front of museum and the trees are not...
