One Love — Restaurant in Oldham

Amazing tasty quality Jamaican food and portion sizes are great however it comes at a cost. This cost will basically cost you £10 a meal and it's most certainly worth the price but the small portion is priced such you'll end up getting the big one for dinner and wasting most of it because it's too much.

A few years ago this place used to have an issue with opening times and Google saying it's open but when you get there the place is closed. Thankfully this has improved although it's worth calling up to check. The biggest gripe now is only accepting cash as the cash itself is not the inconvenience but turning up and forgetting cash as the nearest cash machine is Tesco up the road and as you can see from my photo literally on this occasion the cash machine had a mad busy qué and only wanted to draw £10 and the cash was only dispensing £20 then you have to walk back down in the cold wind and rain by which point was thinking just to get a meal deal and forget the One Love.

The food for sure is the best Jamaican Carribbean food you'll get across Oldham Rochdale and Ashton without a doubt and it would be amazing to see a restaurant in the town centre in the future. Recommend the Sweet chili chicken, jerk chicken and...

First visit: Had the jerk chicken and the peppered steak with rice and peas which were both extremely nice, as well as really good dumplings, fresh and hot ( crispy ish on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. But the star of the show was the goat curry which was incredible. Went in person to the shop and the service was fantastic with really friendly and nice guy behind the counter cooking etc. Really recommend the food and the service and will be going back. Beautiful stunning suculant chicken too. Shop keeper is a true gentleman! reopened his shop for us and ensured me and my family had a beautiful meal to go home with. Thank you whole heartedly.
