Christmas Day Ruined

Family of 7 including 3 Children booked Christmas Day Meal, cost £317. waited an hour to be shown to a table, starters arrived in dribs n drabs. 1 hour 45 mins after sitting down still no Christmas Dinner, 3 Children very hungry, Other tables were also experiencing the same dreadful service. We decided enough is enough and complained requesting our money back.

Landlady Janine Newton, was totally indifferent, no explanation, no apology, downright rude, she didn't care that 3 children hadn't eaten a thing. As expected an argument started because of her attitude, at which she started issuing personal insults, the children started crying, it was shocking. The Manager, Sophie, then stepped forward and offered us £100 refund with a promise to sort everything out by Wednesday 27 Dec.

Today Thursday 28 Dec tried to contact Sophie, but was blocked from speaking to her by Janine Newton. I am absolutely disgusted by her attitude, what a way to run a business. Its plainly obvious, you had no idea how to put on a Christmas Day Meal, you ruined my family's Christmas Day, we ended up having a Sausage Sandwich for our dinner. I hope people see this honest and truthful review and boycott the Hunt...

Landlords are clueless. Bar staff useless. Tables full of empty glasses and when you go to the bar they say sorry is this glass ok because we’ve ran out of glasses. Some customers were going round collecting them. It’s thick with smoke as they allow vaping. Drugs being dealt openly. Drug bags on the floor and in the toilets. Bar staff telling customers to F off and get out. Landlords never intervened. Place is a dump

In response to your reply, i think you have me mistaken with someone else. I was not asked to leave and nor had i been in all day. I was not part of any group. I came in around 7:30 to meet some friends to watch the Take That tribute act ( there were 3 of us) I saw the incident that you mention when i was trying to get served at the bar, nothing to do with me at all, i wasn't sat anywhere near them. I just heard a commotion whilst getting a drink. The drug dealing was blatant at the door near to the patio area and no one was dealt...

Went in about 5pm. Big sign outside advertising Sunday Lunches. Checked at bar if still serving food. Told yes. Ordered drinks went to table to look at menu. Went to bar to order food told no food unless pre-booked. Wouldn't have ordered drinks if told this in the first place. Pub half empty. Probably deserves to remain half empty. Dingy, no atmosphere and definitely no food! In reply to response below. We were given no explanation for why only serving pre-booked. Neither were we told if could wait until 6pm food service would be resumed. Not sure why you expected me to bring this to your attention at the time. Firstly I have no clue who you are and secondly my main gripe was we should have been told food service had been suspended. When we asked if food was being served and were told yes! If had been told no we would have left. If we had been told not until 6pm we might have chosen to wait. Its poor customer service no matter how you try...
