Pausa Cafe — Restaurant in Oxford

Worst service I've ever experienced. Queued for ages as the staff bickered amongst themselves and struggled to handle orders. Tried to order a tea but was told there would be a long wait due to lack of tea pots, so ordered a couple of coffees instead. After standing around, we had to ask if we wait or sit down. Sat down for 15 minutes and eventually received our coffees (both of which were wrong). The cups and saucers has clearly just been rushed through the dishwasher as they were wet and filthy. Waited another 15 mins before I had to go to the counter and ask where our doughnuts were. Was told that they had none left, despite taking the money and having them at the counter when we paid!! Stood around another 10 mins for the staff to figure out the refund. . Tables were also filthy and full of rubbish that hadn't been cleared. Absolutely terrible experience. Do NOT waste your...

We always go to Oxford Dunelm & look forward to their jacket potatoes. Inquired today when they start serving & we're told 12pm. We had a coffee then wandered around till just after 12pm to then be told they would be another hour plus. I totally support employing young person's but there should be an older person to supervise the running of the cafe. Many a time the service is just not what it should be. Today 2 of the staff didn't actually speak & the young lady serving seemed to be running around doing everything and not looking happy at all. Wouldn’t recommend. Was waiting in a queue. Three people behind counter. The young woman was rushed off her feet trying to serve as fast as possible whilst two other members of staff had their backs to customers and didn’t acknowledge. Only got acknowledged when a lady wanted to push in to pay for something quick - they responded with we have to serve this lady first. Asked about the price before paying and then when it came to pay they had added order wrong. Not impressed. Tables left untidy and uncleared. Had to move someone else’s stuff to sit down.
