We went today as had been in Plymouth shopping and wanted to have a meal before heading back to Exeter!! The place had been recommended to us by a friend and the photos I had seen looked really good!! We arrived and went in, no one approached us initially and it wasn’t until I spoke to the lady behind the bar did I get any acknowledgment and she stopped what she was doing!! There was only 4 tables occupied so thought ideal!! I asked if they had a table for 5 and she said oh I don’t know sorry and asked the boy at the end of the bar. His response was “we are fully booked” that was it then!! So as we turned around another lady came towards us and asked if we were being served so just said we came in to eat and she said “oh we are fully booked and we’re running out of food” guessing this was the carvery but wasn’t really there for the carvery as we had seen the platters that they do!! As we turned around as well one of the girls working there fell over with a massive bump and all she got was oh are you ok and she said I slipped as the floor is sloppy!! Just felt they were very rude and not accommodating at all!! When you walk into a restaurant and there’s 4 tables occupied and about 10-15 not you wouldn’t expect them to say we are fully booked!! Shame as really liked the look of the platters and has kind of put me off going back there to...

Have been here before and food was lovely. Today for a treat we wanted a carvery so booked a table for later in afternoon. Arrived, got our table paid for our carvery then when got to counter was told only had one meat as sold out but wasn't told that when paying cuz if we was we would have gone somewhere else as not a lover of turkey except for Xmas, and they should have had more meat as still was a couple hours before they stopped serving. So turkey it was but the veg looked like it been there a while so didn't look to great but again made the most of it there was one spoon full carrot and swede left so nothing for family then got to potatoes which looked like they was Laying in fat and not drained but again tried to find some on top which wasn't in fat. Went to eat it and was luke warm and not very appetising. Then about half hour later more people came in and all of a sudden fresh hot veg came out even brocoli and seen it steaming where ours was less than warm. in all this time not one waitress came to ask how it was until they wanted to clear our dishes was asked was it OK and i said it wasn't very warm and she said she tell them but again no one came to apologise. So i doudt will be going...

If you want a bit of a 'Stonehouse Pub ambience', this is the place for you. Not at all welcoming when you walk in. Large open plan room filled with tables, TV's and slot machines. Myself and my colleague decided to go to lunch there and try it out. We arrived at 12pm and were told we couldn't order lunch because they were still cleaning up after breakfast! They did not offer to pre-take our food order so we ended up just ordering a drink. After a 20 minute wait, a family came into the pub and walked up to the bar to order their drinks AND FOOD!!! Both myself and my friend were gobsmacked a we were under the impression the bar girl was going to let us know when we could order food, seeing as though we were the first in for lunch, however we were ignored and by this time irate! 5 minutes later she mumbled over and said we could order food but by then we're to angry to wait any longer. We left our drinks and walked out...

Ordered at lunchtime (as advised by them to do on a phone call on friday) via JustEat for delivery at 5pm. Chased at 5.40pm to be told it was out for delivery and will be with us shortly, it was out on a delivery of 4, apologies. Chased again at 6.10pm, told it was leaving shortly, they've had issues with the app and only 1 driver. Offered to collect as we're only a short distance away only for the story to change and that we couldn't collect as it had already left. I don't hold out much hope for a delivery at this rate. Attached a picture of my cat and empty lap as no food received yet 😡 We had a few below par meals in-house a while ago, thought we'd give it another chance as maybe it had got better. Won't be going back again.

This pub is on billacombe road in plymstock. I went there with my son for a full English breakfast. Plenty of seating and also seating outside. Very spacious inside. With a good number of tables to sit at. Once given your bacon and sausages of which it's ample and of reasonable quality. You can then help yourself to a good selection of what's on offer. That part is unlimited but believe me it soon fills you . Hot and cold drinks are served and at a reasonable price. You can also have toast with breakfast or with jams after. I found it very filling and of good quality. The place is very clean and with helpful staff. We really enjoyed our breakfast and will go again. Give it a go in think it's worth it.

Had heard the food was good, and tbh it didn't disappoint ! An 8oz rump and a lasagne. Very good food and large portions...neither of us finished our meals. Apparently, Sunday carvery needs to be booked at least a week in advance. We'll done Anchorage, will be coming again for sure. 19/12/2024 - Just been here again and the food was fantastic value. Total bill ÂŁ50 for 3 of us for Lasagne, 3 meat burger and ham/eggs/chips and a drink each. Portion sizes still large. The ham was decent, thick gammon ham and lots of it - and on offer at ÂŁ9 - bargain ! Only rated service down by 1 star as had to go and ask for the coffee one of us had ordered and they forgot to bring.
