Promising Spot, but Needs Attention to Detail

Overall, it’s a nice place to go for a drink, and we’re genuinely excited to have a venue like this in Plymstock. However, there’s significant room for improvement. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, resulting in long waiting times we waited nearly an hour for food.

Our table hadn’t been properly cleaned, and we had to ask for it to be wiped again. Unfortunately, the same staff member then served our drinks without washing their hands. The menu was visibly stained, and the floor had leftover pet bowls and treats from previous customers, which remained untouched during our visit (as shown in the photos).

We had breakfast at the new Divino Lounge in Plymstock this morning for their open day — a treat for my birthday. Really enjoyable experience. I had the breakfast quesadilla which was lovely, and my wife had the large breakfast – that was spot on too. All nicely prepared, hot, decent portions – couldn’t fault it.

There’s a wide selection on the menu to suit all tastes, and the atmosphere was really nice – relaxed and welcoming. Staff were friendly and did a great job keeping things running smoothly, especially with it being their first day and the place fairly busy. You could see regional management were overseeing things, but credit to the team for holding it all together.

We’ll definitely be going back. Will be interesting to see how much footfall this place brings to the Broadway, especially in the evenings. A cracking start for...

It was certainly nice to hear that the Broadway was getting a place to hang out, have a nice meal and a few drinks, it definitely needs it! The service is great, pretty quick and the waiters are lovely. However we did end up sending back some of the tapas dishes because they came out cold, e.g the cheesy chips were cold and the cheese was just grated on and not melted. The drinks deals are nice but some of them do taste watered down. I think it would be more cost efficient to have a meal because with we ended up spending quite a bit on just having tapas and cocktails. It’s new still though so maybe prices...
