Have been to Kassia often and always had a great time. However, last night did not live up to standard. Booked a table for 7 people well in advance and on arrival were seated on a booth table which would only fit 4-5 people comfortably. We made do, by finding a stall ourselves but the staff didn’t seem to be very accommodating about this. We filled out the menu choices on the table and a waitress took our drinks order. Poppadoms were brought to the table, however, we had ordered 2 chutney trays but only were given one. We asked for the second to be brought over. A middle age female waitress brought the second tray over and was extremely rude, telling us they hadn’t bought the second one over as there was no room on the table and chutney trays were ‘per person’? She was very standoffish and abrupt and was also accusing us for the table being too small and ordering too much… this continued when mains were brought and the staff complained they couldn’t fit all the food on the table. We had no choice in where we were sat and as mentioned, had booked well in advance. We were then ignored for the rest of the night and resulted in going to the bar to order drinks and get our bill.
It is a real shame as we have previously loved visiting Kassia but this time left a bad taste for us. It seemed that a big table were prioritised over the rest of the restaurant and we were shoved on a table that was not...
Read moreBooked here to enjoy a tasty curry and a conversation with relatives in a relaxed atmosphere. Fine when we arrived for our 6.30 reservation but just as our meal arrived so did a party of at least 40 people who crowded around the bar shouting at each other just a few feet from our table. A waitress tried to apologise for the noise and we think she said they were refusing to sit at their tables but she had to shout before we could hear her. Then the very rude and patronising assistant manager came over and said we should try a Thursday !!! The noise was intolerable so we asked for our meals to be boxed so we could finish them at home. I thought this place was a restaurant not a bar and I am disgusted at the total lack of any Covid precautions being taken and the lack of any control the manager seemed to have. None of my family or friends will ever eat at...
Read moreWe’ve been to Kassia twice now and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are by far the friendliest and most attentive I’ve experienced in a long time. Really polite, lovely crew which look after you well. When we first came it happened to be their bingo night which looked like so much fun we decided to book for the following month. We had a wonderful meal both times and will certainly come back again. I can see a few negative comments on here around added service charges, if you are not adding tips to your bills in this restaurant then you’re obviously cheap and frankly, stupid. The service is well worth any % charge and having a moan about a £1 charity donation is just ridiculous. Huge thanks to the staff for providing us with wonderful food, a lovely atmosphere and our new ‘local’ when it comes to delicious...
