Have been buying coffee renoirs from Lathams for over 30 years. When they sold to Bartons the quality of all the food dropped considerably. We have not bought from them for a while, the pies had gone off, the chocolate fudge cake, which we bought regularly, was dry and the coffee renoir was a real disappointment. We decided to give it another go this Christmas and bought an individual coffee renoir as a trial which was ok. Read moreI have been buying coffee renoir cakes for going on 20 years from Lathams. I read reviews saying things would change after the takeover but was prepared to give the benefit of the doubt. Admittedly I have not made a purchase for a while but today I got 3 of the coffee renoirs. I was devastated to discover there had been a change to the icing. Instead of being soft and deliciously gooey it has been replaced by a insipid looking crunchy brittle icing.
