This evening (31 October 2025 approx 8:40pm – Fulwood Central Preston Burger King) I witnessed one of the most shocking and unprofessional incidents I have ever seen in a food establishment. A woman was openly smoking an electric vape inside the restaurant whilst casually chatting with staff as if she was in her own home, and the staff did absolutely nothing to stop her. She was not even a customer – she works at B&M opposite and seems like she regularly comes just to socialise with the staff. When I arrived to collect my delivery order, the female staff member was so busy chatting she could not be bothered to even properly check my order on the system. She abruptly told me to cancel the order instead of doing her job and I had to leave empty handed. This is a food environment where families and children come to eat – and vaping inside a restaurant is completely unacceptable. The negligence, lack of training, and complete disregard for hygiene and customers is unbelievable. I have a video recording of this incident. Burger King seriously needs to retrain their staff and take their duty of care seriously. Absolutely disgraceful experience at this branch.

Done with this place, it's never straightforward! The restaurant was closed, but drive-thru was open. We were the only car going through and one more was entering when we'd completed our order and paid. We received our drinks and were asked to wait in a bay. By this point, around 4 delivery drivers had arrived and were too waiting for their orders. 10-15 minutes later our food was brought out. We thanked the staff member and they returned to the restaurant. We checked the bag before leaving as this branch has previous on getting our order wrong. And of course, the order was missing fries. Back through the drive-thru, we were asked if they could take our order, I informed them that we were missing fries. The staff member said to drive around to the window and she would give us the missing food. When we approached, the girl was frustratingly tapping at the till screen and huffing, another female staff member in the kitchen was flapping a BK bag with letters BYA wrote on, trying to draw the attention of the girl at the window, and laughing. The staff member moves away from the window (without so much as addressing our presence or apologising) she then seemed to be discussing/debating something with the other female. There's further movement in the kitchen, and after 5 minutes being sat at the window still nobody addresses us. My husband called across me, 'hello' and I continued 'excuse me, we're still waiting on our order' The girl came over, leaned out of the window and barked, 'we're waiting on fries' I explained that these weren't a new order, but should have made up the food order that was originally placed 20-minutes prior. Taking offence to this, she shouted at me 'what YOU have got to understand is that we are very busy' I responded to her stating, 'what you have got to understand is that we have the rest of our food here going cold, and we're not asking for additional food - we just want the food we have already ordered and paid for, and driven around the drive-thru twice for' Taking further offence, and still no apology, she returned to the restaurant and grabbed the food, handed to me without any further comment. Either this staff member hasn't been trained, or she is just rude and shouldn't be in a customer facing environment. I might suggest sending this individual to BK at Blackpool Pleasure Beach or an airport BK where she can experience 'busy' and where orders come correct and complete! McDonald's and Five Guy's also manage much busier scenariors than this - quite frankly, there is no excuse. Just poor service by a staff member with a huge chip on their shoulder -probably explains where our missing...

Just avoid not worth the hassle

Found that one employee inpecticualr who works at this store has very bad communication skills and bad customer service skills in store and the drive through. Had two bad experiences and have witnessed other people have bad experiences with the same worker. One occasion I went through the drive thur asked for two milkshakes and came out with one (which I must admit did make me laugh at first)

10/6/23 Second occasion sadly was abit more frustrating when we went thru ordering trying to order two meals but the employee confusing both us and herself in the process, sent us thur to the next window even tho we hadn't finished ordering and handed us a bag me looking very confused I looked in the bag to discover the employee had gave us one meal with random items from both of the meals, so we were missing other random items from both meals to make the second meal we ordered. So we went inside waiting 15mins to be spoken to. When got spoken to I tried to explain to the same employee who was maning the drive thur what the issue was that we are missing a meal and explained what we needed to make the second meal up but the employee kept saying what was in the bag and only the items that she put through the order "not the stuff she missed out" after getting no where asked for a refund and left the food there and went through the drive through again to get the refund. After went home and had a lovely takeaway from burgr instead. (highly recommend burgr on just eat)

For reference we tired to order:

Meal one -steak house anugs -large fries -large fanta

Meal two -steak house anugs -large fries -water -loaded fries (cheese)

What she gave us : -1xsteak house anugs -1xlarge...

Absolutely disgusted with Burger King fullwood me and my partner had just finished work for the evening 8pm and decided to have a meal at Burger King where I payed £40 when ordering at the kiosk it gave the option of sit in or take away we decided to sit in where we then waited 15 minutes for our food we sat down and began to eat - a female worker started to mop the floor and came over to where me and my partner was sat and said “ just to let u know our diner closes at 9pm “ she then said you don’t have to rush tho . About 5 minutes later a male in black uniform came to us and said the diner is now closed how long are u going to be baring in mind it was not 9 pm yet to then I replied very high rate and said I have payed £40 for this food may I also add it states 10 pm on the door this is ridiculous he said right well how long are u going to be I said as long as it takes he walked away muttering under his breath me and my partner where furious with this so we packed up our food and decide to leave as we got to the door I pulled and pushed on the door to then find out he had locked me and my partner in and another customer my partner was furious with this and we managed to unlock the door and walked out the behaviour of staff was disgusting disrespectful...
