Mcdonalds are popular and much of this obviously is due to the convenience it offers. It made sense to drive through on the way back home as I barely would have had time to collect my work bag let alone have anything to eat before a double shift. Although it seemed practically the only option, I feel now in hindsight that I shall re evaluate my routine or compose a list of all possibilities when so pushed for time as this was not ideal.
It was a case of having stated No Mayo twice and having it confirmed, then my veg deluxe burger arriving drenched in mayo.
So on this particular visit I felt the experience left me unsatisfied and therefore not convenient at all as I still hadn't eaten.
The drive through isn't easy to stop down the motorway to turn back around, I would have checked straight away but it's not possible to stop upon receipt of the food because of the other cars behind hence of course, this being a drive through. Also again, I really didn't have time to stop anywhere nearby as so pushed for time hence using the drive through ideal, which really wasn't as hoped for or anywhere near ideal!
This wasnt my first not so great experience here, I've had a few but some have been ok too.
I understand restaurants and take outs are busy, also individual circumstances aren't known, however this happens often yet they are advertised for fast food. (There firstly is quite a queue, secondly the food is not always hot or accurate).
I understand too that fast food places do not need to do their upmost to gain custom as they are always queued up with cars and a good amount of customers inside are apparent but to have this 50/50 chance of a satisfactory meal I believe is differentiating from what is supposedly the service the additional prices than those of cooking at home are for.
Overall I feel the communication between staff requires improvement as this is a system that has no reason not to work. If staff are overworked or there are other internal factors contributing to errors then please address them because however much a mc Donald's does not need to pull in customers, there are other fast food services springing up...

Read moreOrdered a chicken wrap about 15 minutes ago. All staff at front just standing around doing nothing exceoe talking to each other. I watched my wrap appear out of the kitchen, and the staff just continued their conversations and having a laugh. After a couple of minutes I asked I e of the staff who was having a conversation with two other staff members, which had nothing with work to do - if he wouldn't mind giving me my order as I had work to do and didn't have time to wait whilst they were supposed to be working. I was then handed my wrap without any apology and they went back to their conversation. I then ernwto get some napkins, which were empty, so I had to disturb them again. Clearly duscruntled that I had disturbed their conversation, I was handed some napkibs. Now, you would have thought that knowing the napkins were empty and other customers were present, they would have broken off from the conversation they were having to get things as they should be. Replenish the napkins and do some work! But no, they just went back to enjoying their paid conversation without an apology or smile. 15 minutes later and I've finished my wrap and still the napkins...
