The Fisherman's Catch — Restaurant in Redditch

Used to be one of the best chippies in Redditch. Since new management and owners took over, it is easily one of the worst for customer service and quality (and hygiene standards). Have ordered from here a fair few times and the order has arrived absolutely stinking of cigarette smoke and the drivers have been rude and impatient, it takes me more than a moment to get to the door as I am in a wheelchair. The food has been greasy and not what I would have expected for £7 for a cod meal! The soggy chips tasted as though they had been reheated and I have even found hair in my food!

We ordered from them last week and we ended up with first getting the wrong order (and the driver didn't know a word of English and we had to phone the restaurant directly) and the right food was delivered. We were offered a free meal as compensation for the situation and when my partner called to claim this, I could hear the man on the phone shouting insults at him down the phone and accusing him of lying when he had made us that promise. Terrible service. Terrible...

I wouldnt even givgive this place 1 star it was disgusting was nearly 2 hours late and when i called at 9pm to say wheres food thwy said just leaving takeaway by 9.30 i rang again and they said mibe was first in astwood bank and should of been there i said well i wouldnt of called if was the guy on the phone was extremeley rude and asked me what he wanted me to do about it and made out i was lyinglying. I said well i didnt spend over £20 to be spoken to this way and to ring the druver he said well ring back in 5 mins then and put the phone down.

It was all cold when we got it the chips were extremely greasey and the batter was soggy the fresh roe was all black and smelt disgusting. Avoid...

I went there to have fish and chips. I said how big arethe two size of fish he had. So he walsk over to the side of the "pans", takes out a fish and he shows me one ... and then drops it. He throws it behind the "big pans" which I can't see behind - I expect it to be the rubbish bin but can't be sure. The second guy on duty that night comes up a few minutes later, is in the area where the fish was thrown, and I can figure out he's washing something ... and then he walks over to the side of the pans and puts a fish into the fish holding tray. I challenged them to what they were doing ... and their story changed as to what had happened. Hmmm ... I'm not EVER going...
