We went to Miller and Carter for Father's Day, and we were very impressed. We all had an excellent meal!
I got the soy and Mirin pork belly to start, and I have to say I really recommend you mix all the sauces together and eat it almost like a salad. It was amazing. The flavours were seriously incredible. I am so intrigued as to all the elements in these sauces because they worked so well together. Genuinely 10/10. My parents got the prawn cocktail, and I have to say, it looked fantastic. The prawns looked huge and were perfectly cooked.
We all had steak for our mains. I ordered tbe filet mignon, with chunky chips, red wine sauce, and a blue cheese lettuce wedge. The lettuce wedge and dressing was lovely, the chips were delicious, and I was blown away by the onion loaf. What a genius idea. However, the steak itself was disappointing. Despite ordering rare, as the menu recommended, it was actually quite chewy and tough, and the sauce I chose was a little too bitter and didn't work with the steak. I tried my mother's sirloin, and her steak was cooked perfectly. Her bone marrow bearnaise went amazingly with it.
However, the dessert made up for it completely! I got the banoffee pie, and it was just perfect. The caramelised banana was delicious, but the salted toffee on the pie was just insane. The texture of it was perfect, and it tasted so good. It was a large portion, but I still wolfed it down. It was delicious. I also ordered some honeycomb ice cream on the side as that sounded delicious. This banoffee pie was fantastic.
The service was amazing and attentive. Our waitress was so helpful and kept checking in to make sure our glasses were full. However, the wait time for the food was not so efficient. We did have to wait almost half an hour for both the starters...

Well upon going inside it looked dark and dead on the inside, very few customers, but we sat down, took longer than acceptable to get sorted with drinks but after all that time of waiting we had our food order ready, this is where the issues start,
The elderly lady that was serving us decided to tell me that we only do steak pink , despite the menu and being the customer and Bill payers we should decide not the person serving us, then my partner said no to any whatsoever seasoning on the fries, repeated several times to waitress, waitress went away,
An age had gone by in an almost empty pub and we hadn't got any food, eventually our food comes,
The steak wasn't as I wanted and wasn't pink like I was told it can only be served, it was actually closer to well done?, my partners fries were still seasoned and there was a yellow type liquid on the bottom of my steak and the plate which was off putting, didn't really like the taste and the fries were over done,
Considering Mcdonalds do fries and steak burger for about £8 each, this at £25 each wasn't value for money or good service in anyway compared,
Eventually my partners almost full plate and mostly mine should of prompted 'was it OK' nope nothing, waitress took ages to get the bill, we paid and vowed NEVER to go back but goto Mcdonalds in future where you get substandard food and rubbish customer service without the over priced food, also Mcdonalds staff do not tell you how you can or can't have your food cooked, so 1 up to Mcdonalds in this case,
IF Wetherspoons or Mcdonalds is an option go there when in Redhill, AVOID here unless you like wasting money and feeling stupid...

From the moment I arrived, Donna greeted me with a warm and friendly smile, instantly making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. She took the time to explain the menu options and made excellent recommendations based on my preferences.
Throughout the evening, Donna's attention to detail and professionalism were truly impressive. She ensured that all of my needs were met, checking in regularly to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Her knowledge of the menu and the different cuts of steak was impressive, and she was able to provide helpful suggestions to enhance my meal.
Not only was Donna attentive and knowledgeable, but she also had a genuine passion for her job and a warm personality that made the evening even more enjoyable. It was evident that she took pride in providing exceptional service and creating a memorable dining experience for her guests.
The food itself was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully. The steaks were tender, flavorful, and exceeded my expectations. The Starters and sides were equally delightful, and Donna ensured that everything was served promptly and at the right temperature.
Overall, my dining experience at Miller and Carter, thanks to Donna, was nothing short of exceptional. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and warm personality truly made the evening memorable.
