Rui is one of the nicest men you could meet. Full of love, in everything he does, especially his food. A lovely cup of coffee & the cakes are delicious. I love being able to experience European style here in the UK because they generally put so much love into the business & so it feels more like you are supporting a friend or loved one at the same time as having a great snack, coffee & or conversation. If you like to immerse. The best coffee shop in the area without doubt & small business always appreciate your visits. I wish I had some photos to share if his amazing treats. Not just food on the go, Rui has biscuits, olives, breads & other to keep your pantry stocked with the good stuff. There are also tables & chairs to sit at if you have longer to enjoy. What an outstanding level of Customer Service! Forget Costa and Starbucks this is the place to be. I was very pleased and surprised how Rui made us feel so welcome.

This friendly Portuguese man was closing the shop when we arrived, only to open it and serve us food and drinks. If that wasn't good enough, the sandwiches he made were fantastic, really good quality bread, nicely filled with great fillings (Peri-Peri, Coronation Chicken & Egg Mayo).

The coffee was also very nice, but being a strong roast you have to have it with milk otherwise you can get some bitter tones. But really there was so much love in the care of the service Rui gave us and the attention to his customers, he even filled a bowl with water and gave it to our dog. What a star! The owner himself is half the reason people go there in the first place! He is always cheery, helpful, polite and so people will talk to him and you find he is a very wise, funny, generous person who will always try to make time for his customers. I've only eaten the swwneet treats like the Pastel de nata, and really tasty jam doughnuts and proper tasting glazed doughnuts. I normally have 2 teas, sometimes three, even when on my own because you get caught up naturally in conversations with either Rui, strangers or regular locals.
