We came on the 19th of April for the debut of the curry night. Might I say it was beautiful, not only was service great from both bar staff and floor. But the you can tell how much the kitchen staff cared for our meal. We were told a 45 minute wait, which is understandable on the first night of a new deal but the food came very quickly. The presentation was amazing, and the flavours was beautiful. My partner had the Chicken Tikka which was mild (thankfully she can't handle spice!!) and flavourful. It came with a generous amount of rice and nicely toasted naan bread. I had the Beef Madras which was spicy (I'm not to fussed on spices however this was beautiful!) the flavour was powerful and again had a good amount of rice so my partner could try some! Haha! We also had two starters as sides, the Vegetable Somosas and the Onion Bahajis, these both were a great choice as the were flavourful and even my partner who wasn't too sure about them enjoyed them immensely! For dessert we had the Chocolate Munchies Sundae, it looked straight out of one of my childhood memories, it was lovely with cream, chocolate sauce and ice-cream the munchies on top were a good choice in top as it gave it extra texture! In whole The Beehive was a great place to go for our anniversary and it was such a lovely experience! A big thanks to Callum on the bar, Sarah on the floor and Jo and Emily in kitchen for making the...
Read moreWorse pub ever, I live in Glasgow Scotland and was down for an over due visit to spend time with my family, my parents are a fair age now and wanted to take them out for nice meal which was not to much of journey from there house. Went to bar to order drinks, one guinness, one half larger, one shandy, one diet pepsi and one normal pepsi ???? The bar maid with red hair and and tattoos down her arms ( didn't catch her name ) couldn't pour are drinks right, took four attempts of pouring a larger shandy and even put lemonade in my mums guinness ??????? Went back to bar to explain she had made a mistake with my order, she with a real bad attitude said that it was my fault and I had asked for lemonade in the guinness ????? I worked in the catering industry myself since I was 16 and I'm now 43 years of age and part of college training was bar work and pouring drinks. Never in all my days have I ever heard of anybody order a guinness shandy ?????? If they did the first thing I would have done is question it. My partner who is Scottish tried to reason with her also was treated very rudely too and such words as HE asked for that !!!!!!!! When asked speak to management she said I'll replace your drinks. She then spent the rest of evening drawing us evil looks. Food was less than average and pub was very buissey and service was poor. Never be back and make sure everyone I know from Surrey is aware of...
Read moreI have been to this Pub many times in the past and have even left a very positive review after lovely meal and meeting with a friend. That is until today May 19th..... obviously they have been taken over and decided to put together a 'new menu'!!! WHY?? Is all we ask why fix something that is not broken? The menu is disappointing compared to the previous one. Our favorites are gone or changed in a way that is not good all to be served on a silly little board so meat juice runs onto the table. Even burgers are overdone and the so called coleslaw is just a lump of mayonaise with a few lumps hidden in that mess. Condiments are old and mainly empty and crusty yucky bits in the lid if your lucky. A clean would be advised. Then to top it all the crowning glory for my friend was the Bakewell tart with custard..... it is no longer as its off the menu altogether!!! The bar person is unfriendly and unhelpful both behind the bar and serving the meals. If you offer meals and have a group booked in that have a certain part reserved then ensure there is enough staff, some might give us the bonus of a smile. We have enjoyed, unfortunately those good meals have ended, so our next lunch will be elsewhere, we vote with my feet and can leave my...
