Probably one of the worst, overpriced takeaways I've ever had. The food came in soggy, dripping paper bags and looked unappetising the moment it fell on to the plate. I ordered a "Chef's Special" shish kebab - man I could not tell you how dry the meat was, not to mention the salad was basic and the pitta was rock hard in addition to there being no sauce offered or provided. Also when you say 'no onions' expect a metric f-ton of onions. Was the meal "Special" because it was 'aged' over a grill for 19 days or because it and the chef had an intimate connection once upon a time before they separated, moving onto bigger and better things? Not to mention my girlfriend's wrap which was thrown together with no salad or sauce (a staple of a good wrap) and, that's right you guessed it, dry meat. Read moreI hoped I would never have to write this review. But the inevitable has happened. The Woodhatch charcoal grill has changed management. This is a sad sad day. The previous owners took pride in their work,made a real effort,the food was outstanding.
Unfortunately the new regime is not up to scratch. This is the second time in two weeks I’ve had an average and skimpy Shish kebab. Price has increased 20% to. I’m devastated. Any recommendations for local kebabs please let me know. 😢
