The Village Café — Restaurant in Reigate and Banstead

I ordered a skinny flat white and was brought a latte, rather than remaking it they appear to have tipped the same coffee from a tall glass into a cup. Either that or they just don’t know how to make a flat white. It was really milky, not what I ordered at all. I also had poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast and was given a stingy amount of avocado, no seasoning or lemon. All ingredients seemed quite cheap, including the coffee. This is a very pleasant place to sit with a coffee and admire the nearby pond life. The café seats approx 30 people. Some background music (radio) but it doesn't dominate. They had a few papers to read but I don't know if someone had left these previous to me. Good tasting food, but the coffee (flat white) was a little weak and needed more espresso. All the staff were nice and friendly. Lots of visitors seemed to be regulars....

Moved into the village 2 weeks ago went in there on a Sunday no cooked breakfast after 12 lol then was charged £14 for two toasted cheese sandwiches that took over 45 minutes and still hadn't come by which time we decided to leave and go elsewhere we were still charged for two cups of tea really??? Total chaos young inexperienced staff needless to say I won't be returning anytime soon...
