Chicken Lodge — Restaurant in Rochdale

We've had a meal from here years ago and it wasn't very good so we never went back, tonight we thought we would give it another go as it's just round the corner from us and was an easy tea.... Thought maybe it was a 1 off as the other reviews say good things. My husband got there on time for when it said, it was sat out on the side so that explains the freezing cold chips, as we are a couple of minutes dive away and there would be no way it would be that cold from the drive, but fair enough chips go cold easy... The burger was shocking! We got the spicy chicken burger with cheese and onion rings, the onion rings were just soggy rings, they were horrible! And been as it's a "fried chicken" shop you would expect it to actually be crispy, it wasn't it was it was the soggiest chicken I've ever had, I'll say it was a good size but the batter was just flopping off it, and the buns were terrible! My buns was hard and you couldn't bite it you had to tear it apart, but my husband's bun was rock solid you couldn't even pull it apart, it was like when you put a frozen bun in the microwave to defrost it but leave it in to long, he ended up having to take the top bun off the burger and eat it with a knife and fork. To be fair I would even say that the chicken burger was probably microwaved because there is no way it would be that soggy if it was freshly fried. It was like one of those microwave rustler burgers you get from Tesco. It also wasn't spicy at all but that's like the least of their problems. Would not recommend and will not be trying again. 🤢🤢 Don't waste your money, I think this place either needs totally taking over or shut...

Ordered a wrap, chicken nuggets and a fudge cake tonight, I wasn't happy to see that the chicken nuggets aren't the usual as they were like Chicken McNuggets but smaller. I also noticed that the chicken in the wrap was still pink, not the first time I've noticed it. Some of the ordinary chicken nuggets have been soft, really greasy and pink, haven't had food poisoning as of yet though. The food often gets delivered...

The worst experience whilst ordering fast food. The food went to the wrong address and they tried blaming us for it. When the food finally came it was freezing cold and missing items. The person over the phone was rude and swore. We asked for a refund and the boss shown up to our door trying to give us more of their horrible food and was also rude.
