La Minhaz — Restaurant in Rochdale

Extremely Dissapointed

After a long train journey back from london, we decided on an indian takeway from our local restaurant. We could have chosen any takeaway's in our area, but decided on spending a little extra for restaurant quality food after receiving a tempting menu through our door. Our order was chicken tikka massala, mixed keema bhuna, pilau rice and 1 garlic naan. I collected from the restaurant so no charge for delivery. Price ? £18.50.. which when i checked when i got home should have been £16.70, not only were we overcharged, but as you can see from the photos, the curry was absolutely swimming in oil and tasteless. The leaflet posted through our letter box boasted PREMIUM QUALITY...MASTER CHEF ROLL OF HONOUR.... RUNNER UP CURRY CHEF ROCHDALE etc etc. We've had better from Aldi ! All i can say is no wonder there were only two people in this restaurant at 9pm on a saturday night.

On my travels, i stopped at La Minhaz in Middleton M/c, not an impressive outlook from the street, but hey, dont be put off by this! Take the step further & order.. i did & WOW! one of the best tastes in Indian food ive had for ages, i was met with a warm welcome & chatted openly until my order was ready, usual wait - 10/15 mins, had Lamb Rogan josh, the meat & sauce was gorgeous! .. really enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks guys, I now have my favourite destination when i.m local for a delicious Quality...

Me and my husband love this place but today we ended up being very disappointed we went for tea for my sons 5th birthday it took a while to give our order. We was there for an hour and 20 minutes and all we ate was poppadoms we were there that long that we got our food to take away and then to get home and our curry was watery and tasteless normally we enjoy la minhaz but it wasn't a good experience especially for my sons birthday as we went there...
