Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Rochdale

We came to catch a quick coffee before going for a night shift, and even though it says the place shuts at 8pm, and we came at 7.10pm, the door was locked when the staff was still inside stood by the desk looking like they are still serving the customers. When they saw us outside we got completely ignored, they were talking with each other, not paying attention to the customers stood outside. There were more people with the same situation, going for a coffee to find a closed door. If it was just before 8pm, I would understand but it was an hour before the closing time. Not going to that costa again, it’s a waste of time at this time of the day, better to use the petrol station ones, they are quicker and at least I’m not...

Your bog standard Costa, fine, nothing special. However, the service here was poor. The first lady who served me was nice enough. But the one doing the drinks ain't cut out for customer service. No acknowledgement whatsoever. I said thank you when the drink was put in front of me, nothing in return, no smile, no eye contact, certainly no thank you. Some people seem to forget it's customers coming through the doors paying for their products that keep them employed. Manners cost nothing and in customer service...

As we entered, we were told we couldn’t get a large Tropical Mango Frappuccino because they didn’t have large cups. Then, I was given a spoon instead of a straw to eat the bubbles in my drink since they didn’t have large suitable straws. We first ordered one and liked it, so I ordered the same again, but the barista looked visibly frustrated and even made an angry face. The experience was really disappointing.
