The White Lion — Restaurant in Rochdale

Recently visited this pub a few times. The lady behind the bar was lovely. Today I brought friends up for a meal. Everything was good except one dessert. Didn't smell or taste good. We went to the bar to tell them and the landlord came over who was extremely rude then all of a sudden the woman from the kitchen stormed in instantly on the defence. Told us she had sold 6today so how can It be bad. Offered us another one. That's it no refund. Shocking customer service and we Recently found this little pub as we have Just moved near by. Shocked, landlord said we need to email the brewery. We already know the catering side is the landlords problem nothing to do with the brewery this happened infront of the children won't...

Called in tonight once we had picked the girls up from nursery for a little drink and a bite to eat.

To our shock we were told no kids are allowed anywhere near their pubs… company policy.

Less than 5 people in the pub and turn away a family of 4. This is the local pub at the end of our street and now these rules mean that we can even enjoy our local!!

We absolutely support local businesses in which ever way we can but we WILL NOT be returning here.

Further down in now are much nicer and friendlier business which accommodate families with children’s and dogs. We will definitely take the walk...

Nice pub, called in for first time (walk from Bury via Edenfield Road - Norden) since the lockdown(Convid 19 virus) couldn't believe how dear the beer has become,.. £3-40 for a pint of Taddy's lager!!!!, used to get a pint of Taddy's lager And a coke (for the missus) for £3-30,no wonder none of the locals weren't in, not be going in there again at those scandalous prices, I expected a few pence dearer with the lockdown etc..
