Outstanding Costa Experience – Hockley Branch, Essex
I’ve been visiting Costa stores for years, but since moving to Hockley two years ago, I can honestly say I’ve never experienced service quite like this. The team at the Hockley branch is truly exceptional. Their attention to detail and the genuine rapport they build with each customer sets them apart. They remember little things about your order and about you which adds such a personal and thoughtful touch to every visit.
For me, it’s the flat white always made to perfection, every single time. Without fail, it’s a 10/10, and it’s become such a daily highlight that I now find myself going in almost every day just to enjoy one.
Ellie, the manager, and her team consistently go above and beyond. They strike the perfect balance between being professional and warm. Even in moments when the store is busy or they’re met with rushed or impatient customers, (I have witnessed myself) they remain calm, kind, and composed. It’s a level of professionalism I rarely see, and it truly makes a difference.
Of all the Costa branches I’ve visited and there have been many this is by far the best. The team deserves real recognition for the passion and pride they bring to their work. They’ve turned a simple coffee run into something special, and they make my mornings brighter.

Read moreI really wouldn't bother using the app to order, ordered 3 drinks, arrived at Hockley branch to collect was only given 2 drinks. Was informed the shop are a franchise & they do not give refunds I would need to call Custoner services despite showing proof of order & the that the money for 3 drinks had been taken out of my account? The Manager still insisted that I had to call CS. Which I did this took a further 25mins on hold to which they confirmed I had been charged for the 3 drinks, which they refunded. I am hugely dissapointed at the lack of customer care, to be frank there wasn't any. I had to wait in the shop for over 45mins which during covid is not what I wanted putting myself at risk this is why I ordered to collect in the first place which completely defeated the whole point of using this service & the lack of Customer service within the shop was horrendous all in all an awful experience & I will not...

Equipment and facilities (such as the toilet, grill, refrigerator) seem to be failing often lately, meaning food gets spoilt, no hot food can be prepared, or there's no sit in service allowed.
The franchise owners definitely need to take a look at the recent incident history to see what's been happening here, and realise this place needs some investment to rectify these issues.
The staff that work here are amazing - they're so polite, great at their job, and with these problems in store they have to put up with some aggravation from customers at times. Investment to fix these issues would not only benefit us customers, but would also improve the...
