I'll start with this: the last lot to own and operate this shop were a very tough act to follow. Almost unfair to whomever followed.

The previous owners operated in that unique space between 'kebab shop' and 'Turkish restaurant' and all their stuff was amazing – real 'secret sauce stuff' when it came to their meat.

Having tried this new shop's offerings a few times, I'd say what we got is aligned back towards what you'd expect from an out-and-out kebab shop.

We ordered what we used to order from the previous owners, and it just wasn't the same.

I don't want to denigrate a brand-new business just starting out, so please take this review with a pinch of salt as things will probably change as the business matures. But for us, the unique selling point and the reason why we used to buy from this shop on a weekly basis has gone. So for us, it's time to mourn the passing of what was and move on to try and find something to replace it.

To end on a positive though, if you enjoy honest to goodness kebab shop food, you'll probably be just fine here. Good luck to the new owners and I hope you make a big...

On their menu they claim to make 'The Best Kebabs in Essex' and I would not argue with that statement. We have used them many times over the years and always found the quality and freshness to be nothing short of superb. But let's not forget their menu boasts an impressive selection of other tempting freshly cooked items including: - Vegetarian food, an extensive selection of Pizzas, Burgers, Side Orders and Soft Drinks.

And by the way their dishes were flying off the shelves last night, I would say, we're not the only ones who appreciate their cuisine.

They also offer a free Delivery Service on orders over £10 (Within 5 Miles of Hullbridge)

However, because the are so popular, you may have to wait a short while, so order earlier than you want to eat.

All in all, I am fairly confident in saying this is a 'Takeaway' you would be happy to recommend to...

Called to discuss food allergies (severe nut & sesame) for our son and the guy who answered the phone couldn’t have been more disinterested and filled us with no confidence whatsoever.

On my 2nd call to them to double check a few things he said he had already told me they have no nuts in the kitchen, but he didn’t seem to get the point or want to listen around cross contamination in the fryer with other ‘may contain’ items. He then wrapped up with ‘ok mate bye’ and put the phone down as I was still talking.

Won’t ever use them again and will make sure the local allergy community are aware...
