Went here on a Sunday night with the hubby. We didn't book and just turned up.

The food was really rather good. I have chicken tikka balti, rice, naan, Bombay potatoes, hubby had Monkfish masala, duck chaat, onion Bhajis and rice.

The chicken was a tiny but tough but the flavours were incredible. I was full up and still kept eating it as it was the good. Spot on, the best balti I've had in a couple of years.

He said the Monkfish was delicious and just fell apart, cooked perfectly.

The onion bhajis were the best he has ever had apparently.

The service was attentive. The atmosphere was a bit lacking.

Have been using Sahebs for several years, food standard was originally very high but I have noticed recently that the quality is dropping. The quantity of meat in the dishes is far less than pre Covid and the quality of the Mutton is very fatty. The Chicken has diminished to very small pieces now not even cubed. So disappointing for a regular customer. Also The pricing is generally 30% higher than anyone else in the area. I know Sahebs is the only Indian restaurant within 10 miles of Northiam but you will lose customers if you continue to charge more and give less. Sorry but you need to know. It’s been a while since I dined with my family at an Indian Restaurant. We loved the great welcoming ambience at Sahebs. It’s spacious, it’s comfortable and most importantly family friendly. The big smiles you get from the waiters, is the cherry on top. I cannot praise the Chef and his team enough. The food was outstanding. Each starter and main course was full of flavour. Salmon tikka was delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was something special. The salad was even chopped finely. The Vanilla ice cream is top notch, it’s quality ice cream.
