I've been wanting to try this hidden gem since they opened..and certainly wasn't disappointed! Loads of off road parking and I'm physically disabled so always on the hunt for east entry food establishments, exit was nice and flat so great for anyone in wheelchairs or crutches We called and ate in, all the staff were friendly, the cafe is lovely and clean we visited the toilet which was a small room but had everything that's needed and spotless. We ordered chicken satay with dipping sauce with salad side garnish and the sweetcorn cakes starters... I'd never tried sweetcorn balls but had seen on reviews they were a big hit from here. All the food we ordered was piping hot and so so fresh and tasty and the batter to the sweetcorn cakes was fluffy in the centre and crispy outer and not a hint of oil...served with fresh salad and sweet chilli dip. We ordered 2 mains and 2 portions of chips ( which I'd not normally have but fancied chips) I had the seafood Yen ta fo ( pink) and my pal had beef meatballs Guay tiew naam light .. the beef meatballs were a good size and tasty and the broth was sweet, vegetables were fresh and cooked perfect with rice noodles, great for a coor day, warming and nice and filling, you can use either single use chop sticks or metal cutlery and was also given the Thai bowl and soup spoon to devour the broth afterwards. My seafood dish was simply a delight, super fresh king prawns, fish balls, mussels and squid with veg and noodles and 2 crispy won tons with a tongue tingling amount of chilli which was perfect for me but could possibly be a tad too spicy for some. I originally went in to try the thick and creamy Thai chicken soup with crispy noodles but decided against taking one home with me for later but have a great excuse for a 2nd visit instead haha... While we was sat inside some others came in for big takeout orders...both ordered the spicy chicken soup. I will definitely be ordering some of the salads too as they look exciting and tasty and the chicken wings next time .it was a very cold day but the homely food and the new radiators warmed our cockles perfectly
Thankyou to all the staff for a lovely tasty experience Julia ( Greasborough FB group admin) and Katie Bean (...
Read moreI came here with my mum and sister to celebrate me passing my course and we were looking for places to eat out. Not many places were open so we decided to try the Pad Thai cafe. We walked in and it was a really really nice atmosphere, the cafe was really cute and the staff were lovely and so welcoming. The food was to die for. It’s the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. My mum ordered the Green curry, I’m usually not a massive fan of different curry’s but the curry was amazing. Me and my sister had Chicken chow mein with egg fried rice. It was so cute how they lay out the rice into a heart. It’s the best food we’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming back and ordering here for more. Words cannot describe how...
Read moreOnly came across this place whilst I was stuck in traffic on Centenary Way and was interested to pay them a visit. So visited during early tea time on a Weds afternoon. Ordered thai fishcakes and crispy wonton for starters. Then had masaman chicken curry whilst my mate had chicken pad thai. We both agreed the food was excellent, fresh, flavoursome and very reasonably priced.
This place is a 'hidden' gem and deserves prolonged success. Long may it continue to serve the good people of Rotherham. Will definitely be back to sample...
