The Glasshouse — Restaurant in Rotherham

Came here for a birthday meal, nice place when you walk in and staff are super friendly! Things that let it down tho are the bar service is really slow and it gets queued up pretty quickly because of this.

As for the food. I ordered the chicken and ribs combo, the fries were absolutely perfect, crispy but not burnt seasoned nicely for flavour, the ribs for what they were was also nice, not the best I’ve ever had but certainly good, the chicken however was bland, no flavour, no seasoning just half a cooked chicken laid on the plate, not very appealing and rather underwhelming for the price of the dish around the £19 mark.

My other half ordered the all American chicken burger which is fair to say there’s hardly anything “American”or “all” about it, just a slab of battered chicken in some bread with a light serving of mayo.

We both went home with intense stomach aches and all in all a disappointing meal out, we probably won’t be back again.

Waiters are super friendly can’t fault them at all. The staff need to be faster and more efficient on the bar. The food needs some more attention and maybe chef who cares about what they’re...

Called at The Glasshouse for the first time today it wasn't a great experience tbh. We was expecting better.

So anyways we ordered on the app and after selecting our munch the table number wasn't clear so had to find a member of staff to find it out. So we ordered at around 12.25 (as pictured) and the most simple starter took 35mins to grace our table. Then we was was asked if they could start our mains when putting our starter down we said yes cause of the previous half our wait for the starter. The burgers come without the coleslaw that I paid extra for then my partner took a bite and straight away she said it was cold. I took a bite of mine to find mine was also cold. We was then asked if everything was OK by a member of staff my partner told them the issue. I left my food as pictured and my partner wanted the burger replaced. Too their credit the full replacement came out piping hot.... and drinks came to the table quick but the damage was done by serving us cold food.

Poor experience and won't be revisiting sadly. The place itself was nice and good availability regarding...

So thankyou to Lauren at glasshouse in wath by looking after my parnter who had a funny turn n wasnt well at all today. She made sure that he was all right. I asked for a drink of water n she even took the water down to the car were he was kneeling down n asked if he was okay. She even said if theres anything I can do for you just ask. My parnter wasn't well at all he never touched his meal when it arrived. He even went outside to sit on bench but that didnt help. When the food arrived he could eat it I had tried to eat mine which I left half off mine. My parnter had to go down to car because he wasnt well. I asked her if i could have refund back on my parnters meal but unfortunately i couldnt once its been cooked. Lauren wrapped my parnters meal up for him to have for later. She asked if he was OK. I said yes he had to go to car. So thanks to Lauren you was amazing since you helped us. One special lady. Thankyou so...
