The Timberyard Tapas and Micro Bar — Restaurant in Rotherham

Bad from the start. Had to walk round the back of the place to go outside, nearly fell walking down, had rang an hour before going was not told it was cash only, then had to walk and get cash out of the bank. When back I was frozen, went back to my table, fell down the step ad place was too dark. Sat at our table the only light we had was 2 candles. This was for my boys birthday, He was frozen and could not take off his coat. I could go on. Staff are very quiet. Was moved to a different table, this was a little bit better. I’m sure the place would be lovely in the summer, but when it’s freezing outside you do need to wrap up well. Would I go again, never. Manager is arrogant and not that helpful. I asked for my deposit back, he went on to say it was none refundable and I had this in writing when I booked though Facebook. I did not book through Facebook, so never got that...

Dodgy start, couldn't find booking, sat us at a really cramped table THEN moved us to the tent and it was a game changer. Totally different vibe, put music on of our choice, and the party began. Mark was a fabulous host, apologising as the tent wasn't ready and still had Christmas bits in. To us it added to the fun feel that was evolving. With regard to the food Whitebait was overcooked, and we didn't need 3 lots of potatoes. However, the rest was great, especially the flatbreads. The cocktails were fabulous. What an incredible little place ...... the food is fabulous and I mean fabulous. The presentation is spot on and the staff are so chilled out and cool. If you're looking for a posh place this is not for you but it's quirkiness is what makes it fantastic. The covered outdoor area is cozy and welcoming with its own bar too. It's a place to enjoy good food and have a great time with friends or on your own ..... you will always be welcomed and I can guarantee 💯 you will go back for more 😊 One of my favourite places to eat in the area.
