The Middle Coffee House Ltd — Restaurant in Rotherham

We came here for breakfast for the first time over the weekend and arrived around 11am. It was super busy, which is usually a good sign. The food itself was nice and enjoyable, but unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. There were numerous tables cluttered with empty cups and plates from previous customers, which hadn’t been cleared for quite some time. The toilet bin was also overflowing, which added to the sense that cleanliness wasn’t being prioritised. It felt like the restaurant was focused on serving as many customers as possible without keeping up with the demand in terms of tidying and maintaining the space. Whether it’s a staffing issue or just poor management, it really impacted our experience. Although the food was good, the lack of cleanliness means we probably wouldn’t return. A clean and welcoming environment is just as important as the food, and sadly this place didn’t deliver...

We really like this place. It’s gone from tiny to huge in a really short space of time, which says a lot for the business and demand.

Coffees are great, with a large selection of drinks and yummy baked goods. Not so much a fan of the savoury foods here though. A better selection of savoury would’ve ideal. There are dairy free alternative milk options too :)

This place’s ALWAYS packed out on weekends, with a queue to the door. Great for business I guess but for customers it’s a bit of a nightmare when you have to resort to sitting outside in the cold.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. They have got my order wrong a couple of times but always offered to correct it without fail.

With a few more soft furnishings and cosy comforts this place would be perfect. But apart from that it’s great! We visit often and will...

I walked into a really busy (which is a good thing), lovely looking cafe with a good looking selection of bagels and cakes. I asked for a decaf cappuccino to go as I was working. I was told to wait which was fine because I could see it was busy and about 10 minutes later was told my cappuccino was ready.

I hopped back in my van and thought 'I hope the coffee isn't bitter'.... Unfortunately it was really bitter to the point where I can still taste the coffee after 6 hours..... However I persevered with it and then at the end realised that it was not decaf but caffeinated coffee 😡... I wouldn't mind but I've been told to avoid caffeine by my GP. The waitress who took the order wrote it down and then after 10 minutes actually made it for me so I really don't see how that got missed. Really disappointed but you...
