Where do I start it was a terrible experience from the start ! Booking system took over 24 hours to confirm the booking after two attempts but after the visit wish they had never replied. Shown to a table where I would have been practically sat on a stranger's lap we refused to sit there and opted for a table the other side of the restaurant no social distancing being observed Then the food the poppadoms were bought within second and then we were offered a drink about 20 mins after. Main course order was not taken for over half an hour. Dips with poppadoms were weird onion salad coated in a strange tomatoe sauce, yoghurt and mint tasteless and a jammmy effort and some other sauce like ketchup none had any Indian flavours The main course the rice was cold despite being bought out in a covered dish the Lamb chilli Gosht was like a three day old mutton stew you nan made no Indian flavours, no chilli, the garlic naan bread was ok but a weird doughy texture and tasteless no garlic in it ! The service was diabolical ordered a second glass of wine only to be told I don't do drinks go to the bar yourself. Pubs are all offering table service now but this establishment does the opposite I have never been to a restaurant and been expected to get my own wine from the bar. The staff are clueless, the food was diabolical and as for track and trace it was only when we commented rather loudly that it hadn't been done they bought us a book the last entry was 4/9/2020 we visited on the 26/9/2020 so tack and trace clearly not been carried out. Three of us had an early dinner here on Thursday and, well I was honestly underwhelmed. Charged 80p for each pickle/dip accompanying the poppadoms, x6 chicken wings on the menu had become x3 but price was the same, Babu served us and it felt like he didn't want us there but whatever, had worse, had much better. My comment here Babu would be you are in the hospitality business, have a run at being hospitable! My friend asked if the meat was Halal, " we buy from cash and carry, it says Hala on the label. Makf that what you will". Was the response. I sincerely hope the take away / delivery side is on fire cos I won't be beating a path back there a d my friends were less than impressed. I couldn't eat the bahjees undercooked, oily and told Babu this. A drug of 5he shoulders said it all from his perspective. No discussion on how he could address my comments, the Biyrianni wasn't exactly hot either but I hope that this was an isolated issue and they were having a bad night. Visited this establishment with my two friends who were celebrating their 1 year wedding anniversary. first impressions of the place it was empty, I thought it was just because it was a Sunday evening and location, but I was very wrong. The service was really slow, it took literally 15 minutes for the waiter to come to our table and get our drink orders, then another 15 minutes to get our food orders, which started to annoy us as the place was empty!! The food started to arrive 10 minutes after getting our food order. I had two mixed grills because I’m a carnivore 🤣 the dishes were really small which contained a few pieces of meat which were very dry, my friends had butter chicken which was really runny like a soup texture and lacked flavour and another curry dish I can’t remember what it was but that didn’t look very appetising either. As an overall experience we weren’t very happy with the service and food we received and what made us feel even more disappointed was the fact they charged us a service charge on top of our food and drinks, service charge for what exactly? The service was terrible!! We won’t be returning and unless they sort out how the place is run I can’t see the place lasting too long...
