A classy, cosy place to enjoy great Mexican food. I came here with my wife on a casual Wednesday and was surprised to find it was packed. I'd booked before hand so we got somewhere to sit without trouble. The decor is really nice, a mix between classy and casual, cosy bit stylish. It's the food here that really shines. I had the chicken tinga chimichanga and it was absolutely exquisite. Perfect level of spice, great sides with rice and salad, good sauces - perfect! We had drinks too - there was a good selection and they came quickly and we're great. I've taken off a star for two small reasons. Firstly, our waitress was pretty grumpy. No smile and communication with grunts. And secondly because I think £40 for two meals, 1/2 pint beer and a mocktail is just slightly high. Not much, but slightly. That's just me though.

Casa Loco is a Mexican restaurant located in the center of Rugby, known for its lively atmosphere and bold flavors. However, unfortunately, our recent experience at the restaurant was not enjoyable. Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Casa Loco is festive and energetic, with bright decor and lively music. It was packed so was hoping it would be a great experience. Lots of parties and room for larger tables. Service: The staff is friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately, the service was slow and disorganized during our visit. This might've been as there was a larger table on a weeknight. Food and Drink: The food at Casa Loco was disappointing. The dishes lacked the bold and vibrant flavors that we were expecting from a Mexican restaurant, and the side portions were small for the price. The guacamole was underwhelming, with a bland taste and a mushy texture, and the tacos were dry and lacked any real depth of flavor. The Calamari tasted (and looked) disappointing, it definitely wasn't fresh so maybe they buy frozen foods? Just speculation but you can look at the pictures and decide for yourself. The steak was interesting as it tasted like what I'd expect at a British pub/whetherspoons, no Mexican flare to it at all. Maybe some Salsa or something other than gravy could have been in-keeping with the theme. The corn tacos were decent, although my carne asada was pretty dry. Despite the disappointing food, the drinks at Casa Loco were well-made and tasty. The margaritas were particularly noteworthy, with a good balance of sweet and sour flavors. Prices: The prices aren't high but that's fair for the quality of the dishes. Overall, while I appreciate the effort put into creating a lively and festive atmosphere at Casa Loco, I wouldn't recommend it based on our experience with the food.

There was no free on street parking and only a tiny short stay carpark close-by which was full. The restaurant was relatively easy to find however could only be reached by stairs and therefore not disabled friendly. The restaurant was cold, extremely cold-about same temperature as outdoors (-1°C winter traffic). Both my gf and I had to wear our winter jackets at the table. The decor was appropriate for the Mexican food and style. The food was sub-par. There was almost no flavour or seasoning. I ordered the stack and my gf ordered the 5 bean chimichanga. Both taste worse than what we could make at home and compared to another mexican restaurant we visited the day prior. The total came to £57 which was also more than we paid at another mexican restaurant even though that time we ordered cocktails and starters also. Overall we are very disappointed in our experience at restaurant recommended by our Airbnb hosts.

I have visited here on my last 3 birthday's as it is my favourite restaurant in Rugby. Cosy place and it's usually rammed so it sometimes gets too loud, but good atmosphere. Usually service is good and reasonable however on my visit last weekend it was very slow, we weren't even asked what drinks we wanted until being sat for 30 minutes when we had to pull a waitress ourselves, and then took a further 20 minutes to receive the drinks so in total we spent 2 hours in the restaurant which was longer that we'd hoped. However regardless of all of that, this is the first time this has happened so I would still give this place 5 stars as some of the staff are very friendly, interior is warm and inviting, good vibes, and the food is just awesome. I'll be here next year I'm sure.

I came here with work for a colleagues leaving meal and was really impressed. The decor was spot on, it felt really authentic and was well thought out. Cleanliness was good, even the toilets. The food and drinks, were the star of the show. I had a 2 course set meal and opted for the Prawns starter in tequila sauce and the Ribs for the main. Prawns could do with more bread as there was a lot of sauce left over. The ribs portion is huge, was well cooked and fell off the bone. The cocktails that I had were really good. The service was fast and attentive and overall excellent value for money. Would recommend and return!

We stumbled on this restaurant on the advice of a lovely young woman we met in the street. I was with an old friend who had just moved to Rugby and we had a fantastic evening and meal. The decor was great, the food superb and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Well done. We will certainly be going back. The prawns in cream and tequila were delicious as was the abongdigas. Mains were; la casa loco tortillas, and a full rack of ribs with wedges. Absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately no room for desert after all of that. 😂
