Lovely food, amazing service. Fantastic addition to Rugby.
My wife, two year old son and I arrived today for lunch. We had flat bread, with dips; falafel, lamb kebab and prawns.
The lamb was tender and delicious. The marinade on the prawns was fantastic. The flat bread tasted fresh.
There are a few minor gripes but considering that this place has only been opened a week, I am sure that these will be resolved such as only taking cash, and contactless payment.
I would give it 4.5 out 5 if possible rather than a 5/5. The falafel felt that it was overcooked slightly and the salad that accompanied each dish looked a little wilted and not as fresh as I would like. Again, compared to the main courses, these are minor issues.
The service was excellent. The waitress really looked after us for example, when my son was starting to appear restless, she saw this and supplied some pencils and a colouring book.
Meal including drinks came to £40, which I think is good value.
This truly felt like a family restaurant both in the quality of food and service. I wish them the best of luck and hope they thrive.
I will definitely be...
Read moreToday we went as a group 9 girls. We received an atrocious customer service from the staff there. We booked the table according to the restaurant's wish at 4pm instead of 5pm which we initially wanted. When we arrived at 4pm, we were constantly made to feel to leave as soon possible.
One of the waitress (Short boy cut hair) kept coming over to the table for no reason what so ever, and just kept on staring at us for no reason - after we had placed our order, while we were eating and after we had finished, making us feel very uncomfortable.
One of my friend asked for extra salad instead of mash potatoes which was offered with the meal, but that salad never came nor did the mash potatoes. Upon enquiring, the waitress just shrugged and said their wasn't any salad. How is this possible?
Another friend of mine asked the waitress to pack her left over pasta (3 times), but she never brought it to her and we kept waiting. Upon enquiring, she claimed she never heard her and the pasta was thrown away. In addition, there was no compensation for this error on the waitress part.
The customer service was horrible, and will never go back...
Read morePositives up front. The atmosphere is charming, for sure, one of the most excellent restaurant environments in Rugby. Their hours are good, and most places are closed after 5, so this is a great option if you want an evening out during the week. The service was prompt and efficient, if not especially friendly and welcoming. This place has a few challenges. The first is that the food is just okay. It's good but could be better. A flavorful cuisine like this should be as fresh and vibrant as the decor. The second challenge is that the portions of the entrees are small. And their biggest challenge is that their prices are too high. Just way too high when you consider the other two problems. If the food was amazing, okay, maybe. If the portions were generous, okay, maybe. But neither is the case. If you want to attract and keep customers who will give you good word of mouth, give them great value. Then they will come back and bring their friends. Rugby sorely needs nice restaurants like this. I hope they work it out because it has...
