Where do I begin? What a wonderful welcome and happy kitchen team! We picked up our take away which included the Gurkha spicy platter and Kathmandu chicken amongst other sides. If you're like us, and initially judge a restaurant by their onion bhaji, then you'll know that food from here is going to be amazing. The level of spice gave a nice warm kick and added depth and the flavours were carefully balanced. The salad was fresh, the cuts of meat were of good quality and cooked to perfection. Amazing food, I don't go anywhere else now for my curry!! I usually order the same thing as its so delicious. A set menu for one, in that you get 2 poppadoms with 4 pots of sauces etc, 2 onion bhaji, 1 nann bread, rice and I have lamb balti, the lamb melts in your mouth, I'm drooling just thinking about it.lol. portions are very generous, I can get 2 meals out of it! We had a tateaway from Gurkha last night. Delivered on time as always. I had paneer madras and my partner had butter chicken. Both were delivered hot and delicious. Sometimes from other places you get them swimming in grease round the top, but from here they are not like that. Just perfect every time.
