Claire Elizabeth Creates — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

It was recently my friends 40th birthday and I wanted to give him a surprise by getting a special cake made for him.

I initially approached Claire with some ideas for a “Frozen” themed birthday cake featuring the character Olaf using some of her cake designs on her website (which is very neat by the way) as a starting point. Claire was very quick to respond to my enquiry and provided some very helpful input showing me alternative (but similar) cake designs that may go with the theme I had in mind as well as exploring other ideas. Her communication was great throughout and she was very transparent with any additional charges that I would incur such as the personalised cake topper and custom icing name plaque that I decided to go for. Speaking of which, I was shocked at the total cost of the cake which I considered to be very reasonable given how incredible this cake was. The cake not only looked the part but tasted delicious which is the fundamentals of a good cake! When I went to pick up the cake from her shop in person, Claire was very warm, friendly and inviting.

My friend was absolutely overjoyed when he saw the cake and was completely taken by surprise. The cake was shared between 9 people in total and everyone had nothing but compliments to say about it. Would definitely not hesitate to order from Claire again.

Claire was super helpful and made a Family Birthday weekend in the Peak District perfect! I found her by doing a Google search on a Sunday evening requesting if she could make a cake ready for mid day on the Friday! A cheeky and big ask, I had read her website and seen her cakes and was impressed with how good they all looked. From my initial email she was so helpful, answered all my questions and gave me some good advice. We went with the 8” Lemon Grove Cake and it looked spectacular, so much detail and the macarons were delightful, the sponge was super soft and squidgy and had a beautiful flavour the lemon buttercream was lush, and wasn’t overpowered with too much lemon. It was a perfect cake and we will definitely be back to give her more business! Thanks Claire you made a 70th and 40th Birthday...

I contacted Claire at short notice when she was recommended by a number of people in the village where I live after I’d posted a plea for someone to make a vegan celebration cake. Despite it being Christmas, and her premises actually being closed, Claire was able to accommodate my request and bent over backwards to ensure I could collect in time. The cake itself was amazing!!!! With only one vegan among us there were a few skeptics about how good it would be, well it was unbelievable, the nicest chocolate cake I think I’ve ever tasted. It even persuaded my die hard Slimming worlder of a mum to have a number of pieces!!!!!!! Thanks so much Claire can’t wait to need...
