Wasn’t going to do this but I get seriously fed up with foreign workers who can’t understand English enough to understand their own job or what the customer is trying to say and now im annoyed !! I ordered a 1/4 meal. I order this nearly every time and have ordered this for YEARS so I know what’s in it!!! I was half way through eating and realised it was just burger and cheese. I did finish it but went back in to give feed back. I also noticed that the box and the receipt said “plain”. This was NOT Requested by Me (as I said, I ordered this meal 1000 times) I NEVER ask for plain and have no reason to add this word so it must have been added by staff in correctly. The supervisor was Chinese or something and she couldn’t understand me!! I said there was “no tomato relish “. She said to me “there’s no tomatoes in the quarter pounder “ I repeated NO TOMATOE RELISH”. She then said “there’s no lettuce in the QP” she looked at me as if I was mad!!!! She also looked very miserable and said “the receipt says plain so you got plain. She didn’t understand anything I was trying to say and just gave me the recipe back and said “ok bye” I wasn’t peed off by my “plain QP” but now I am!! It wasn’t what I ordered and no apology was made . Now I’m leaving...
Read moreI remember when they first built this place, a real prime location, especially for us students. Quick service, even in rush hour. Like all chains, they do occasionally miss items, but will give it to you next time around if you comment on it. Up to date inside with self service screens, but still have humans if you prefer to speak with them.
Update 2022-12-12 Completely refurbished entranceway, Deliveroo and co have their own entrance now. Everyone else goes though a single sliding door now where the old disabled exit used to be.
Kitchen and order area moved around so there is less space where you order, looks like it may get a bit hectic in rush hour.
Drive-through area is the same. Where you order food online and park up outside, those bays have been removed. I mean, deliveroo drivers, people sitting there to eat and people going inside, always took up those bays anyway.
Food was dissapointing this time. They forgot the jam and butter for my jam and butter muffin (again) so I just got a plain bit of bread. The pancakes were stale and crunchy. This was at 8:15am, so not the end of breakfast time.
I did complain this time and I have been offered a free meal for when I return, so...
Read moreUsing the drive thru, it's virtually impossible to hear the server through the intercom. Just wanted a Big Cheesy sandwich with cheesy bites and a Medium Diet Coke. Ended up with a meal, either due to a misunderstanding, or the diabolical noise on the intercom. Server was a bit stroppy and seemed to want to blame me for everything. Told him that when someone wants a sandwich, and they don't ask for a meal, then they don't mean a meal.
And then there's the car parking to contend with... the McDonald's car park was pretty full, so I hung a right to where Starbucks is, not realising it's a completely different car park with some extremely strange rules. One being that you are on CCTV, and if you park there and then walk to McDonald's (or just out of the car park at all), you need a ticket or you'll get fined £60/£100. There is mention of 60 minutes free parking, but it's not clear of that is only for Starbucks customers, or whether its just free as long as you don't walk out of the car park.
I realised in time, and so bought a £4.50 ticket via RingGo for up to 2 hours. I'd rather be mugged off for that than the higher fines.
So just beware... read the parking signs and don't...
