I was excited to see this new restaurant on Salford precinct which looked a bit more upmarket.
Went in earlier today for the first time to try the breakfast.
Restaurant seems cosy enough with good lighting and music playing. Screen on the wall wasnāt showing anything. I thought it would have been better to have the screen on with entertainment and early in the day instead of just music.
Ordered two breakfasts to takeaway. Lady serving at the counter seemed nice but I was left standing there for a few minutes after she took the order as she went serving other customers and I was waiting to pay, but decided to take a seat eventually as there seemed to be a long wait and figured Iād pay upon collection.
After half hour of sitting there waiting I asked if I could pay to prompt them. The amount on the card machine was a couple pounds over the correct amount so had to correct them as theyād not realised the coffee comes free with the breakfast. Food came shortly after, but in total was waiting about 40 mins.
Turns out there was no coffee in the bag, but only realised once I got home. Breakfasts werenāt the best sausages tasted weird and bacon overdone.
Itās a shame because I wanted to like the place but wouldnāt go back based on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rarely post reviews but my experience here was so bad I had to. Iāve been looking for a proper shawarma place in Salford for ages⦠like the ones you get on Winslow Road. This is not it. The guy who was running the place and serving the food couldnāt be any ruder. The way he spoke to the (polite) lady taking orders was disgusting. I told her my order which she wrote down and took my money. I then moved away from the counter awaiting instruction. The rude guy after about 5 minutes asked me if I wanted salad⦠so I approached the desk to tell him what I wanted⦠I noticed he was preparing a wrap (out of a packet naan/flatbread) and I let him know I asked for a sandwich (samun) He then started saying⦠āitās the same. Itās the same⦠itās breadā whilst aggressively tipping the salad he had started to put on the wrap back into the bowls. I couldnāt not respond and simply asked āIf itās the same why is there two different options on the menu?ā To which I pointed above him. He then ignored me and didnāt say a further word. No thanks. No sorry. Nothing. Ignorant to say the least. Food was ok. Iād have definitely gone back but now thereās zero chance I will. Manners cost...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAntep Restaurant and Cafe is a hidden gem inside Salford Shopping City that always delivers a warm welcome and delicious food š½ļøāØ This was my third visit, and once again, I left more than satisfied ā full belly and big smile! š
This afternoon I went for a mint tea paired with their mixed shawarma (chicken & lamb), and wow⦠what a flavour combo! The meat was juicy and full of spice, and the chips were done just right ā crispy on the outside, soft inside ššš
To top it all off, I had a slice of chocolate & nut baklava, which was a perfect sweet ending to the meal. Rich, crunchy, and just the right amount of sweetness ā highly recommend trying it if youāve got a sweet tooth! š«š„®šÆ
The atmosphere here is fantastic ā cosy, friendly, and you instantly feel at ease whether youāre popping in solo or with friends. And the prices? Totally reasonable and in line with other nearby cafes and pubs š·šŖā
Iām definitely coming back again ā Antep never disappoints! Keep up the...
