Kingfisher Fish Bar — Restaurant in Salford

‘Fish & Chips’ surely has to be one of the greatest British meals ever and it is never difficult to find a good chippy in any town and city across the UK. I have to say, I think I have found the best in Salford. It is ‘Kingfisher Salford’ and it is located on Salford Precinct. The quality of the food is incredible. The batter on the fish, which incidentally is cooked fresh in front of you rather than sitting for ages in a warming cabinet, is beautifully light and very crispy. They have an extensive menu to choose from, including all of your favourites from sausages, pies and of course fantastic fish, and even a Full English Breakfast which is served all day too. The restaurant is very clean and the décor is pleasant and there is a very nice seating area inside, and seats are also available outside when the weather is good and you fancy people watching while enjoying your lunch. The staff are very efficient and friendly and even though they are usually very busy, they do know and understand the meaning of ‘customer service’. If I had one negative comment it is this…..when you enter, if it is your first time, it is not very clear that you have to order food to sit in further inside the restaurant as the counter near the door is for ‘take outs’. This wasn’t pointed out to me when I ordered from the first counter and when I mentioned that I’d like to sit in, it was only then that they let me know that I ordered at the wrong counter and that it would be a little bit more expensive to sit in. this I have no problem with, but I think it would be an idea to have a hanging sign or a notice somewhere to make it slightly clearer………..hardly a complaint, more of a pedantic niggle hehehe. ‘Kingfisher Salford’ is definitely the place to go for a superb...

The kingfisher is a hidden gem it's a cafe / chippy it's really good i was there the other day poped in for a bite to eat it has all THE food a chippy would have and a seating section inside and outside .They have some set meals like the one I got meat & potato pie mushy peas and chips and curry sauce .my friend got chips mushy peas pie and gravy and it came with bread & butter and your choice of a drink tea, coffee, ECT I got a lovely foamy latte. The food is good the prices decent, AND the portions are a nice size so for all those who are visiting salford shopping centre LOCATED in salford manchester England and you want some good old fish & chips, or any of there WONDERFUL food and wish to try the whole chippy experience, then I would go to this charming little gem just walk through the shopping centre to the back were the market is turn right and it's a couple of shops down...

Terrible experience today and bad customer service Ordered food plus a meat pie Lady went to get food another person came in behind orders meat pie chips and Gravy another lady served them and went to get meat pie my lady goes for my meat pie non on counter “ any meat pies in the back she shouts Yes comes a reply- goes in back NO meat pies !!!! Sorry we have no meat pies - that’s my meat pie I said, now being covered in Gravy at this point - sorry we’ve got none now - that’s not fair I say I was here first, would you like another type of Pie - No I reply I wanted a meat pie very unfairly treated WHAT CHIPPY RUNS OUT OF PIES AT 12:00 LUNCH !!!!! Left unhappy have been saying to friends all week that I was staying loyal to Kingfisher after a new chippy has opened on Salford Precinct but as the Staff don’t seem to care about their customers experience it might be time...
