The Bridgewater — Restaurant in Salford

Excellent customer service! We went in on a busy night and we ordered from the table through the app. A lovely member of staff came over to tell us that he had seen our order and because we had ordered on the app he wasn't able to warn us before ordering that we might have to wait a little bit because they had a couple of parties in and they were extremely busy and he asked us if we were OK to wait. We were in no rush so we waited and we really appreciated him coming to talk us. The food came earlier than expected and it was lovely. Everyone in our group was extremely happy with their food, no issues at all. Prices are extremely reasonable, the menu is great, mainly chicken, burgers etc normal pub food these days but with so many choices! Although it was busy, the pub is quite large and well set out so we didn't feel too close to anyone and it wasn't noisy like some places are when they are busy. Staff are friendly and very quick to help of needed, nothing is too much trouble for them. There is lot's of parking spaces and parking is free if you pop your reg details in when inside the pub. Shocking service by female member of staff. First she tried to overcharge me for two meals , and when I pointed it out, she was rude and said it was what the till was coming up with. I told her it was quite obvious that £7.50 plus £11.50 was £19, and not what she was trying to charge me. She huffed and was quite nasty snapping that no one else had complained about the prices. This was infront of other waiting customers. Then when the meal came it was disgusting. Mine was so overcooked the cheese has dissaperared on my toastie, and my sons chicken trio burger hardly had anything on it, and the chicken strips were dried out and no meat in them, just breadcrumbs. (We have the photos to evidence this, should the manager require them)My son complained and she told him he was shouting (he wasnt), and to leave "her premises". I told her she had been rude throughout our visit, and she told us to get our money back and leave "her building". So be careful you don't get ripped off, and be aware the meals are sun standard. Autism Friendly This restaurant has a cosy and clean atmosphere and plenty of room. The tables were all clean and had everything we needed- condiments and menu, placed nicely on the table. The music was at a lower level but still loud enough to enjoy. The menu has a wide range of options that are reasonable price-wise, with lots of offers. The staff were really nice. They ask if your food is OK, they were friendly and welcoming. It appears dogs are permitted but from what I saw, they stay on the floor. Lots of parking available. Disabled toilet access, albeit the disabled toilet was a bit grotty when compared to the male and female toilet. People who depend on disabled toilets should be given the same standards as the ordinary toilets. No mirror either? At quieter times there are tables in nooks and corners for people who are easily overwhelmed, to sit in and feel at ease.
