Cagney’s — Restaurant in Sandwell

Quite some years since I was last here before my revisit this most recent weekend. Truly a refreshing lift to the Cagney's bar with new, up and running management team, without losing it's old touches. (I believe it has a family-run like appeal, or a great team!)

With a huge interior and exterior, you're never lost for seating, with many booths, tables, spacious toilet entrance room and 2 double doors on arrival, makes it more accessible I believe. This place is super ideal for hosting a party. They play Football games on the TV in an open dome-walkway entrance into a room right next to the bar, great watch and atmosphere.

Service is incredibly attentive and welcoming, and it's shows consistently throughout the service around the entire pub/restaurant. They offer quite the selection in food Cuisine, there is a bite for everyone, meat and plenty of veg options. From small bites to more filling dishes, prices are great averaging £10 and under for sides/main dishes etc. You can smell the attracting aroma of fresh, cooked, seasoned food cascading gently from the kitchen or when someone orders, and it looks the part too!

It's a fantastic stop for family, friends, parties, all the works. Can't wait to stop by again!

19/03/2023: Came here again for my weekly football visit, mother day special of a free cocktail was enjoyed by the family members. Ordered Plain Chips, Chilli Chips and Peri Peri Wings, which came with a side salad and a fresh side of poppadoms with dips. All were incredible, fresh and flavourful. The wings were fantastic, and both chips are lovely and comforting. Enjoyed every bite and I still can't wait to enjoy even more of what they have to offer. Normally go to my regular desi pub. But thought I would try here. Came with family. Intital greeting by the young lady was pleasant. Think she was the main waitress. The food was tasty. Got a good selection in the menu. Prices more or less the same as other desi pubs. The table manners of the waitresses were very poor. No interaction with the customer. No smile, no hello, no how was your food etc etc. One particular waitress. Do not know her name. Tall slim girl with blonde hair she was very ignorant. Should not be doing that job. You could clearly see she was just going through the motions.We were sat in the quite part of the pub in the back room. But it was very loud as a group of football fans put the television on really loud, we could not hear ourselves speak. Maybe this should be a family room. Far as I am concerned customer service is a very important part of the experience when you go out for a meal and spend your hard earned money. As a, family we spent £150 with drinks and food.i always give honest reviews and hope management act on this as it gives them insight how their business is running and how their employees are working. But at the end of the day it's the business owner to act on the reviews if he wants to keep customers comming back again. The pizza was shocking no taste n dry and thin and not worth price completely diffrent from last time we went shocking ... mixed grill was half overcooked and some was undercooked ....the chops and chicken overcooked ...and the fish and wings undercooked .... food brought to table with no condiments ie no salt ect and no cutlery...othe people there had same experience next to us no cutlery and 1 man ad coffee with gone off milk that you could clearly see and he went to bar numerous times to get it changes he waited 3/4 of an hour for replied coffee ...ber staff very slow to serve an could clearly not cope with the capacity in there and also wait time at bar is horrendous half hour to 3/4 to be served...and toilets were shocking dirty urine on floor blocked toilets and no toilet paper....and mens where the same as few men reported to staff the mess and blocked toilet and vomit .... this place needs to up its game the only good thing on this night was big screens to watch...
