Dilshad Blackheath — Restaurant in Sandwell

Well, I was in two minds about leaving a review and here is why.

The order I placed was through Uber Eats and with it being the first (up to a specific value), the meal was free. I only had to pay for delivery. Upon excitingly opening the trays, I discovered that it was nowhere near worth the amount spent (thanks Uber).

We received one portion of poppadoms even though two were ordered and the size of the lamp chops, wow! You could shake the small foil tray and hear the amount of free space that was in it. It does beg the question as to whether this was done purposely, due to the staff knowing it was a free meal for us.

The garlic mushrooms are nice, although, more mushrooms could be added and the amount of onions reduced. The flavour of the chops was okay.

The place I did want to order lamp chops from is not on Uber Eats (hopefully, yet!). I decided to try somewhere new and was very disappointed. I shall not spend my own money here.

Dining at Dilshad Blackheath was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the courteous staff and quickly seated in an inviting and tastefully decorated environment.

The menu offers a delightful mix of traditional favorites and innovative dishes. I began with the tandoori Mix Grill, which was a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. For my main course, I chose the Saira's Naga Tikkah, and it was absolutely exquisite. The freshness of the ingredients, the beautiful presentation, and the taste were all exceptional.

The service was flawless – the staff were attentive, well-informed, and clearly passionate about the food. Their recommendations were spot-on and they ensured that my dining experience was perfect.

To finish, I had the banana frita and a coffee floater, which was a divine treat and the ideal conclusion to an incredible meal.

In summary, Dilshad Balti surpassed all my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience with top-notch service. Five stars...

Went once with my partner a couple of months ago. 3 stars is a little harsh on one level as both the food and the service from the young waiters really was very, very good (I've never had a better chicken pakora starter). However, the experience was slightly marred by a surly older guy who was sitting at the bar waiting to deliver take out meals. I had my guitar with me as I was on my way to a music event in the area; I'd leant it against a wall by our table, well away from where anyone would be walking, and was gruffly ordered to put it under the table! I don't know who he thought he was but he needs to either brush up on his customer service skills or be given his p45, his manner slightly spoilt the overall effect and the efforts of the waiters who were polite, courteous and very prompt. The rating I've given here reflects this rather mixed experience; I've not been back since, may or may not do so in the future...but there are other very good curry...
