House of Chaii (Tipton) — Restaurant in Sandwell

Really disappointed after my visit from Sunday. Been looking to try out this local place for a while now. Living local it was quite a quick drive to Tipton. Parking was tight, very limited, as there is limited parking right outside only so we were hanging about until we found a spot. Not sure if there are side roads that you can park on as the cafe is on a main road. It was a shame that the place does not offer high chairs so it is definitely not child friendly and the place inside is not that big. Made it difficult having my food whilst holding my 11 month year old. The people next to us had the same issue with their young children. Waiting time for food was not long, presentation of the food was good. However the English breakfast had no flavour to it. No seasoning to the beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. Chicken sausages were quite bland. My husband had the desi/ English breakfast, paratha looked like a frozen thick paratha and he said it too did not have any flavour. He barely ate his food. The Karak chai and chai latte was decent. Didn’t see any signs to say that it was cash payment only but luckily we had cash with us otherwise would have been a problem. Last Thursday I had a hangover from hell and no one was home to cook me anything so I got my girlfriend to get two Nutella pancakes for myself and she had a strawberry Nutella wrap. The pancakes were delicious and filled me up, the only bad thing was the lack of strawberries as there could’ve been more as opposed to just one. The wrap however was absolutely horrible as my girlfriend actually spat it out and I thought she was overreacting but when I had a bite, she wasn’t wrong as the thing they used for the wrap tasted really bad. It tasted badly fried and I don’t know what it was but it certainly wasn’t bread, the best to describe it, was, it tasted like fried paper. The wraps should be a folded pancake or something similar but most certainly not whatever is currently used as I honestly cannot describe how bad that tasted especially when you have to spit it out. Apart from this, the food was very nice and brought me back to life in a sense. If more strawberries were used on the pancake and the wrap was different, then I would’ve gave this place five stars. My girlfriend did say the place was very “cute” and tidy though so next time I will most definitely visit instead of collecting and hopefully I can then change my review to 5/5. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying this breakfast that exceeded all expectations. The presentation was inviting, with each component perfectly arranged on the plate. The meal was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that left me thoroughly satisfied.

Personally, I loved the Turkey Rashers the most as it was cooked to the perfection.

The sausages were succulent and full of flavor, providing a satisfying start to the meal. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, cooked to perfection. The addition of spicy beans, served in a stylish metal bowl, added a comforting touch, with just the right amount of seasoning.
