A really lovely meal at sensible prices (lobster ravioli and a lasagne with garlic focaccia followed by tiramisu). It was a Friday night and was busy which created good vibes but the staff were very much on it and we weren’t neglected at all. Deffo a place to visit if you’re in the area. 👌🏻

We had a brilliant evening. Pizza was incredible. The caramelised onions especially. All the food is served with care and attention to detail. Service was fantastic. The restaurant is modern and vibrant. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Delicious meal, great service and such a treat to be able to walk there from our house so we could enjoy a drink with our meal. So fortunate to have Giancarlo's on our doorstep!

Nice little Italian restaurant with friendly staff. Having been a few times I've definitely enjoyed my experience with good food and service but it's pretty pricey. Stay away from desserts as it was £4 for only two profiteroles.

A couple of problems also happened with the food but they weren't as serious, we received the wrong pasta but it was mostly similar to the one ordered (so not a disaster) and the pizza was very watery (making the dough a tad soggy but still nice).

Finally a couple of problems also occurred with the bill. They charged us for a large glass of wine when we only received and ordered a small, so make sure to give your bill a quick double check.

Other than this it's a very nice wee place with friendly staff, but for what is essentially the main (and only) restaurant in Tranent it could have definitely been better...

I love this place every time we have been never been disappointed! Had polo al funghi (chicken & mushroom in a creamy white sauce) last night with sautee potatoes it was amaizing would have preferred it to be served with veg though! Service is also excellent from taking your order to paying the bill!! Thanks for another great night Giancarlos! would highly recommend this fab Italian restaurant to anyone but please remember to book well in advance as its so...

Food is very acceptable. However we went mid week and service was very slow. Would recommend it but bear in mind the noise levels. We were struggling to hear each other because the hard surfaces bounce the sound everywhere making it hard to talk without yelling. The cheapest dishes are just under £10 in the evening going up to £20. House wine was good at about £15 per bottle. As long as you don't mind a wait when it's busy mid week and the noise doesn't bother you,...
