Sweet Haven Tranent — Restaurant in Scotland

Scrummy ice cream but the staff are hopeless. Revisited today to see if improved but yet again come away with the wrong flavour. Could argue I should check before I leave but quite frankly your only job is to serve ice cream and you should be getting it right especially as there was only myself and my child in the shop at the time . No excuses.

Update, I’m clearly a glutton for punishment as I tried again. Last week got my hopes up as all went well but this week they couldn’t even be bothered to open the doors. Either 1 hr and 20 minutes late or 20 minutes late depending on the door time or website time. They can’t even be bothered to make sure their customers know when they are open. We were one of a dozen who slowly got fed up and left. When we drove past again they were still shut. I have no idea how they are still in business and the ice cream isn’t good enough to persevere with them. We’re at Lucas now, queuing up yes but the ice cream is great and the shop is open and can be counted on. Not surprised they’ve disabled new reviews on here I wouldn’t want to read them either. I have just been into sweet haven in Tranent, there was only one server and we were sitting in, I went to the counter where the lady told me she would be 2 minutes, I took a menu and sat back down, more people came in and were served, then other people came in to sit in, 10 minutes passed and the lady never said a word or came to the table to take the order, she made an order for someone at an other table and never came near, the lady at the table next to us then decided to get up and order her items, while we were still waiting, we were now sat for 15 minutes and the lady that told us she would be 2 minutes still never came to our table. why would you not just tell us that there wasn't table serves, I was at the counter and sat down as I was told 2 minutes. We left without ordering our items as felt the service was very poor, don't leave 1 person serving tables and walk in customers, I come in to sweet haven quite regularly, but won't be back any time soon.. very...

ordered a white chocolate and strawberry crepe it was stone cold and the chocolate was disgusting it didn’t even look like chocolate more like out of date milk couldn’t even eat it i have been a few times customer service isn’t great but the quality of the food was a let down won’t be ordering again hopefully something can change but i’m not the only person who has been let down by them !! and they forgot the ice cream which is part of the order my friend got the biscoff cookie dough and it was vile tasted like flour and was horrible to eat she took one bite it was hardly cookie dough i don’t normally leave bad reviews but i don’t recommend .when i phoned and showed them the photo they said it doesn’t look that bad and processed...
