Very well run pub - the high street definitely benefits from the community aspect of twice weekly karaoke - they seem very well constructed.

Surprised to get manhandled out of the pub on account of “one too many” tonight (I was stood still with my hands in my pockets). I’ve lived alone in Tranent now for just over a year, only recently gaining the confidence to go to social spaces

As I’m moving out I came to donate some glasses that I knew were served on draft, and pass on some golf clubs to the owner as a thanks for putting a league 1 game on a screen just for me the other week

Got a taxi into Tranent to enjoy a game of pool and couple of beers, went to the bar to order and asked if we had id’s to present which we happily provided both our driving licenses for. Only to then be told we needed our passports, never encountered this anywhere in the 100s of pubs I have been to in my life.
