BBQ Wrap Salad — Restaurant in Scotland

My 1st visit was in May'25. There is limited street parking, so I walked specifically to try this Shawarma. I chose the £12.50 mixed Shawarma meal deal, including chips and a can.

The Shawarma wrap itself was filling. Mixed of chicken,meat and lamp with salad and dressing, Very tasty and enjoyable. Make sure you keep a tight grip of the wrap to help keep it together. The salad dressing was lovely but remember and keep a napkin at the ready... My food was swiftly prepared and played on parchment and a tray, cut in half and individually wrapped. I ordered chips which were nice and crisp, help yourself to fhe sauce, salt etc...I liked the smoked paprika shake.

There is provision for seating in and takeaway. The interior of the shop was clean and tables and chairs clean too. It was noted that as a family behind me finished their food and left, staff were there immediately to clean the tables. All the staff were polite and pleasant. There is also a customer toilet which was clean.

I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else...

Standards are dropping. Okay but not what it used to be .

There used to be a lady who ran the show but she seems to have gone. Now the guys are just average.

I bought a meal and extra chips. The chips needed longer to cook - they were not crispy - they were limp.

The chips were also very small. I know the meal portion is smaller but they used to fill the box. Now the meal and extra portion (3.50) combined are not much.

The kebab is also less than it used to be.

Don't get me wrong the food is nice but comparing it to last year the standard is dropping. Also the sit in used to be packed on a Friday night and it's not. Signs the quality is dripping.

And it's not a one off, this has been my experience last 4 or 5...

This was always great when Ali was around. Terrible experience tonight. Waited 5mins before being served or even greeted with staff in the back. Placed order for 2 kebabs, simple. 15 mins later and no sign of the order even being prepared. Challenged staff and no apology just told me 5 mins later. 5+mins later and still not started it. Told me I would just need to wait! Disgraceful especially as I had young daughter with me on way home. 25+mins later and I walk out with nothing other than a bad taste in the mouth. I hope Ali is not running the business and this is his staff as I don't want to trash him, this would never happen...
