Great place for adults (children that have an interest in history/looking at exhibits without touching) finding the actual museum was a bit of a task as it's within the Glasgow university campus and signage is not particularly good. Disabled parking at the main entrance and lifts to all floors so fantastic access. Not sure about disabled toilets? Ladies toilets at the time of our visit were a disgrace but don't let that put you off. There is a visitor shop which has a huge range of items both related to the museum and the University itself. We will be visiting again as this visit we took our 4 year old grandson and he wasn't really impressed so we kind of hurried round. The architecture of the university is stunning and very photogenic. There are a wide range of exhibits from Roman coins and findings dug up around the central belt of Scotland, to medical specimens, bones, fossils, gemstones, crystals, and taxidermy. There is so much more that we didn't get to see and as mentioned we will be returning for an adults only visit. Free entry is a bonus and a box for donations if you feel inclined. The university itself is situated in Glasgow West end which is a hive of activity even on a Sunday. Plenty of variety for eating, drinks or a night out. Also great for people watching. Another fantastic free resource....

It is good to see a museums recognise its errors or possible concerns and create a space which recognises the discomfort or impact it may have rather than continuing to foster and perpurate certain ideologies.

Only had half an hour to explore and will definitely be returning on my next Glasgow trip to take in the other non medical items...
