Black BX Food — Restaurant in Scotland

Seriously poor show. Only managed to get food twice there. First time, lady on service was pretty short with me. Borderline hostile. Like I had dared to order food there. Second time was good, served by a chap this time who was nice, was given a buzzer to sit in the car. Long wait, but it was busy that day. Tried to go during the winter and again early spring. Google said they were open. But they weren't. Closed for the season - that's fine, a lot of businesses are around here. But tried to go again during the height of summer and I could see they were open as I approached at 4pm, but as I crossed the road, they just shut the shutters and left. Checked Google, even checked their Facebook. They had put up a post the same morning stating they were open until 7pm. No followup post explaining why they were shut early. It's a shame because the food is quite good, if a little expensive - likely tourist prices being that it's on a caravan park, but portions are big. TLDR - Customer Service, communication and lack of consistency with opening hours severely lets down what would otherwise be a decent food spot in an area that doesn't otherwise...

Gave one star cos I had to. Please read the reviews on this place before ordering. Total waste of time. Placed an order, paid, waited then went to collect to find the place closed. Signs all over the campsite saying open till 8pm. Just eat said open till 8pm. Google said open till 8pm. Campsite response is that people need to check Facebook before ordering their food. We didn't even know a wee crappy snack van would have a fb page 😂 left with no food on the last night of our trip. Not local so now need to figure out somewhere else to eat. Total joke please don't give them your money. No customer care at all just money grabbing. I had to wait over ten minutes for two scoops of ice cream for my son which cost me £5 and the ice cream ended up in the bin because it was over frozen and tasteless. I don't mind waiting that long if there is a big queue but there was only two other people waiting and there and there was three staff working. The staff were flustered, dropping utensils and openly swearing in ear shot of customers. I saw a customer waiting for ten minutes before his order was even taken! It's a shame.
