Locanda Romana — Restaurant in Great Britain

Starter was nice but that was just bread with tomatoes so nothing cooked. Main course Traditional home cooked beef lasagne..... This lacked beef mince, in fact it was more like trying and spot the mince! Plus it had a hard lump of rubbery cheese in the lasagna. Is this really Italian? I think a pint of birra moretti was priced at £5.00 but charged £5.95. Over £25 for a poor meal and a beer. Basic cooking and over priced and if you want better food then go elsewhere. Three bikers, two from Yorkshire, one over from Northern Ireland, up in the Borders for x5 days and x4 nights. For our last two nights we stayed in Hawick and ate at Locanda Romana both evenings after a recommendation from our hotel, Balcary House. Awfully racist and Islamaphobic owners who refused Muslims from entering due to the way they were dressed (mens Islamic attire). They lied and said it was closed when in reality in remained open for service for hours! Despicable.
