Saw a video on Facebook about this place, so thought we would give it a go. Outside are a couple of tables and chairs, but the weather wasn’t for sitting outside today. Inside, it’s an open space with stool seating around 2 walls and 2 tables on the right as you enter. The stool seats are not the most comfortable, that’s for sure. But I suppose if you want people to eat and move on. These will. It make you stay. There is a lot of food on offer, off the menu. Burgers, wraps, hotdogs, dirty fries, seasoned fries, chicken, the list goes on. From what we saw other people eating, the portion size was looking good. We both went for burgers, myself the Volcano and the wife New York. She had waffle fries and I had Cajun fries. Both were good and plenty on the dish. They both took about 8 or so minutes to arrive at the table. There is signage which says all food is cooked from fresh. And there was a steady stream of customers coming in and ordering. So the fact it only took 8 odd minutes, I thought was really good. If you have any disabilities, ie wheelchair. You will have no problems entering, you could sit outside as well. Inside , as I said there is plenty of space when you enter. But there is only 2 tables, so you may have to wait. Would I go again? Yes I would, there is a lot on offer and should be tasted. Thank you ladies, can’t fault our food.

A visit to Burger Island 🍔🏝️ Burntisland on a bank holiday Monday. We ordered a New York burger, a bacon bad boy burger with the addition of seasoned fries, cajun with the New York burger & salt & chilli with the bacon bad boy. We also ordered a portion of cheese & onion rings & x2 drinks of diet coke & diet Irn bru both come in lovely glass bottles. Food arrived 15m - 20m later & was absolutely fantastic. Burger Island use a local award winning craft butcher - Tom Courts & you can certainly taste the quality. Burgers came with plenty toppings & the portion of fries with the shared onion rings more than made for a very filling & enjoyable lunch. Burger Island 🍔🏝️ is an award winning establishment based in Burntisland & I can tell you, it more than lives up to it's award winning reputation & it's a credit to it's owners & Burntisland. I'll certainly be back again for another visit. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Looking for a burger restaurant for a birthday meal, we decided to try Burger Island. Having never been here before and decided to give this place a try soley on reviews. Staff were cheerful and friendly. We had the chicken stack burger, loaded fries and think it's a Highlander burger Although the food didn't disappoint us, as they were freshly made, really tasty and piping hot. I feel the website and Facebook pictures made the food look alot better than in person. We also had the wicked cheesecakes, they were delicious and strawberry milkshakes were awesome, highly recommend trying them. They also have an option to build your own burger, but didn't see this on the menu *( maybe something they need to advertise better)* We will definitely be returning to Burger Island soon as we would definitely like to try other things from the menu.

Was really disappointed by the new cafe. Had come highly rated and left feeling like I’d wasted my money. Staff were the only saving grace!

Let’s start with the staff, because I want to be clear, they were great! Super friendly and we’re willing to help. They’ve really saved this review.

Now onto the not so great stuff… the food took a good while to come, I appreciate that there is signs saying it can take 15-20 mins but I was at least 30 and my friend was 40. Once it arrived both of us were underwhelmed by what was in front of us. I ordered the ‘big’ breakfast (NOT big by any stretch of the imagination) and my friend ordered the pancakes - 3 pancakes and some bacon (exactly what was stated in the board). My big breakfast came with 2 slices of bacon, a square sausage, hash brown, potato scone, beans and a ‘fried’ egg and haggis & black pudding. It was cold which after half an hour wait was really bad IMO. The quality of everything sucked - and that’s the best way I can describe it, the only things which were alright were the hash brown and beans. The rest were cheap and not cooked well. I think everything had been air fried rather than fried normally, which I think in this case hasn’t helped. I left most of it as it just wasn’t pleasant. My friends pancakes left a lot to be desired, also came cold! The top one was very doughy and almost raw, with the the bottom 2 being alright and nothing more. They bacon that came with it was good, and the right style for the pancakes.

Overall both of us were very disappointed and won’t...

worse customer service I've had in a while , one member staff is so ignorant and generally miserable that I was actually quite offended, I revisited again thinking we all have different things going on and maybe she's having a bit of a mare , second visit same experience, on my third visit a lovely lady who can easily work with people served me this time and I must say what a difference it's night and day , now to avoid any confusion as to who I received this service from all I can say she's a bigger lady than the other staff , I don't like to be personal but that's the reality of my poor customer experience after visiting this place , now onto the food , my burger was good , really good , whilst being slightly overpriced not by much but definitely overpriced, chips were average to be fair not great but not bad either , chicken wings were dreadful to be honest ,the wings were not even wings they are drumsticks and when your paying good money wings are what is expected or even a mixture would have been acceptable , they were dry as a bone , I mean bone dry almost hard. the next dish I tried was loaded chips with chicken and I was genuinely shocked how bad and how overpriced this dish was , when you combine all of these things into an overall it's doesn't stack up well. it's shame as the burger was delicious and the other staff seem very nice indeed just one bad apple spoils the experience , poor customer service always leaves a bad taste and...
