The Star — Restaurant in Scotland

I called to see if they had Man City vs Arsenal on today around 12:30pm & was greeted by the rudest member of staff, she couldn’t tell me if the game was on, wasn’t interested in my query & acted as if she was doing me a favour answering the phone, huffing & puffing & general attitude, my partner called back to see if the game was on after I explained trying to gain info from this staff member was akin to getting blood from a stone & she had the phone put down on her, no wonder pubs are on their bum cheeks, hope the owners enjoy the day at the racing (the only info we did get) whilst this rude woman is the face of their business for the day.

The star is a great wee pub. Independent, owner run and an excellent wee locals pub. Good beers and wine selection and a good range of spirits too. Best pub in town. Bit dated traditional pub, including the customers. Excellent beer, Tennents lager and now Heverlee on draft. Beer always in good condition. Free house so good selection of beers and spirits. Malt of the month 35 mil measure, and now gin of the week. Prices good. Fantastic staff...
